Show Highlights: My first Specialty Food Association Winter experience in Las Vegas was special because of the people, the stories and the passion to create amazing products. It was great seeing old and new media friends as well. Stay tuned for more images and interviews throughout the month. I will be back to capture this show and raise awareness about these amazing entrepreneurs and their journey.

There were just too many booths at CES 2023 to physically visit so I made a list of exhibitors and founders I wanted to interview and mapped out my show plan.

I was grateful that close to the end of the show. Dan Scarfe, CEO of XRAI glass and co-founder and chief marketing officer Mitchell Feldman came to meet me in the media room for lunch and a casual chat about their innovative app, XRAI glass, a software solution powered by augmented reality. It converts audio into visuals, allowing a pair of smart glasses to turn speech into subtitles.

With XRAI glass deaf individuals can enjoy rich conversations with multiple people in the room remotely or nearby. There is an expanded use case for education and those with learning disabilities. Here is the interview!

Over 110,000 people attended and it was my eighth show so I was ready! I was grateful for the opportunity to get a head start on my list of exhibitors to interview and products to demo at CES Unveiled. Getting around the multiple showrooms and venues was no easy task, but the free shuttle and Vegas Loop service made it all manageable. I covered so much ground this show and can't wait to share my product discoveries with you. Remember: The in-person show may have ended, but the Digital Venue is open until the end of February. Let’s keep the tech talk going! Thank you to Consumer Technology Association (CTA) for making my media experience a great one! (Especially the free lunch and coffee to keep me going each day)

I enjoyed this virtual production workshop put on by Vū Las Vegas. The art of lighting in event featured director, producer, author Jay Holben. I learned more about producing in LED photo-realistic environments and was able to ask questions about the pros and cons to location shooting. You have seen this technology used in shows like The Mandolorian on Disney+. Topics discussed were how to properly light people in this high-tech setting and how much more work goes into pre-production. I still have so much to learn as I scale my business, but am excited for the endless possibilities!
