🎂 Corey Taylor was born on this day, in 1973!

We all know him and Slipknot with their extraordinary masks. Taylor's influence on masks was born by a horror movie he watched when he was young, "Halloween". His grandmother introduced him to rock music, with a collection of Elvis Presley records, and Taylor began listening to Black Sabbath at a young age.

He formed the band "Stone Sour" in 1992. the band recorded two demo albums in 1993 and 1994. In 1997, Taylor joined the band "Slipknot", causing him to abandon Stone Sour, while they were working on a demo album, and he didn't return to the band until 2002. Until this date, Stone Sour has released 6 studio albums.

Taylor was the sixth member joining Slipknot, but he wanted to have the number 8 (every member of Slipknot has their number), since it was symbolizing infinity. Taylor's career has grown even further in Slipknot. Their first gig together was on August 34, 1997, which didn't go well according to the members. Taylor started wearing a mask after the bands' second gig. The band's second release, self-titled album "Slipknot" peaked at number one on the "Top Heatseekers" chart, went double platinum in the United States, and was included in the book "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die". The band's second studio album "Iowa" peaked at number one on the UK Album Chart, and number three on Billboard 200. "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)" was placed at number two, and "All Hope Is Gone" peaked at number one on the Billboard 200.
