Indestructible Energy 'At what point does a zine move beyond being merely about art, and become a work of art itself?' - The Wire #373, March 2015, Pg. 17

Indestructible Energy is a limited edition, submission based, art zine. This zine explores the relationship between reproduced and original artwork within the context of the traditional fanzine without being bound by conventional zine publishing practices. Aspects of the zine will change issue to issue. Each issue will have 100 copies, each copy will include both reproduced and original pieces mak

ing each copy an individual piece of art. All issues are open to and thrive on submissions which can be made as reproducible (digital or hard copy) or original artwork.

Hi all,

I'm working on a project where we are designing a workshop series using zines to introduce topics around mental health and wellbeing to young people aged 8-11 to assist in expanding their emotional literacy and wellbeing.

If you’re a zine practitioner, collector, creator, workshop facilitator or have any opinions on the relationship between the arts and mental health, please complete one of our questionnaires. Your opinions would really help us to deliver a quality workshop for the young people we work with. https://breathe-edu.co.uk/zelp/

There are 3 short anonymous questionnaires, looking for slightly different perspectives of zine and zine workshop engagement - if you fall into more than one category then you are more than welcome to complete more than one questionnaire.

Please also share around to anyone you think may be interested in completing them or finding out more about the project.

If you have any questions, or comments I would be happy to chat through it a bit more.

Thank you for your time! Best, Julie

For anyone in the zine (/comic) community, whether you read, sell, make, distribute, promote, print and/or collect zines (or comics)…

Well, today is Small Press Day 2021 - it completely snuck up on me but wanted to use this opportunity to thank all the artists that have been involved over the past NINE years of this project. It's been really great and I'm pretty happy with how they have all turned out.
