Currently is working on this PBS Special for Celtic Thunder for this video shoot in Ireland. This project has 3 weeks booked in for mixing and mastering and we also supplied the drumkit😁.

I will never buy anything from microphones again. Purchased in 1999, these tc30k omnis were £1200 irish pounds at the time. I used them on various instruments over the years with good results. After they both started to generate noise similar to a low frequency wind, I contacted Earthworks about getting them serviced only to be told that nothing can be done and to go a buy a new pair. Considering other “professional” manufacturers will offer servicing, this pi**ed me off. Especially the “go buy a new pair” part. Pictured in their rightful place of rest. The bin. Earthworks should be ashamed. .

This is brilliant. I’ve actually done some mad stuff like this over the years. One that immediately comes to mind is recording Steve Cooney for Meitheal. I was assistant engineer on that album. Steve didn’t have his didgeridoo available so we used the Nilfisk vacuum cleaner hose. 😂 I wonder if anyone could tell? #recordingengineer #recordinghacks
