It all started in West Texas in the 80s. From "all-request" FM Host to Morning Show fill-in, Afternoon Drive DJ to sales, promotions, professional emcee and even some stand-up comedy - Mike has been in love with broadcasting and audiences for more than 35 years. When not in radio, Mike was managing anything and everything and it took him far, far away. A fluke offer would bring him back to the Hub

of the Plains, where he rekindled relationships from radio yesteryear. Experiences range from being a Navy brat, foreign-born (Scotland), frequent traveler, diverse speaking and writing and performance engagements, mentoring, recruiting, coaching and life/estate planning. These have created one well-rounded, enthusiastic, informed story-teller and conversational host. Friends and colleagues encouraged Mike to inquire at KFYO as the "go to substitute host" in the Fall of 2021. In Fall of 2023, Mike moved his show over to Walk by Faith Radio: KWBF. A couple years later, Mike's branching out into multi-media. The rest is providence and sweat equity! Historically relevant, coining "infotainment" as a content descriptor, Michael McDermott is known for his deep dives and alt takes on topics everyone can relate to and take something from. The invite is always there for his audiences to "add" to his show via modern media applications. It's live, local and engaging, personal broadcasting; time well spent. To be clear: I hate Censorship. I absolutely loathe Cancel Culture. I believe in turning the channel, walking away or boycotting versus firing people for things "someone" finds offensive or hateful.

I believe in Repercussions though.
I believe private entities can exercise their right of employing whomever for whatever for however long they deem it positive or profitable for themselves.

In ALL cases, I don't believe government should be involved. EVER.

We have the Courts for Slander & Libel; determining malicious intent & damages.

There are two distinct lines though: (1) incitement; calls to violent action and/or eminent danger. (2) anarchists; calls for destroying this country by any/all means. From within & without, these people need not EVER be allowed into this country unsupervised & monitored.

People & groups who roll around in THESE lines of noise, agenda-pushing & propaganda need to be removed from the United States of America.

I never cared for Westboro Baptist Church protesting anything, but I especially loathed when they harassed mourners at vigils & funerals. It was one of the very few times the Left & I agreed on something.

I still believe a person, group etc has every right to be offensive, disgusting & complete a-holes as far as opinions, protests & the 1A go. I just thought the majority of people would never stoop so low, just the WBC at the time.

Time passed.
I was very, very wrong.
People went lower than any low I thought possible.

“They go low, we go high ..” is one of the biggest lies ever uttered.

Not ONE may boast.
It’s why the Bible is astounding, shocking & amazing.
It reveals ALL before it comes to pass & then it hits us w/ conviction once the fan gets hit by the socio-politico f***l matter.

Every single time.
For millenia.

We are all guilty for causing these times or for allowing these times. There is NO Safe Space, sideline, Free Parking or Get Out of Jail FREE Card.

Mourn, discern, filter, edit & regroup as you gird your loins for what is to come in this ongoing War of Principalities.

UPDATE: Still editing & studying & doing things for the brand but I gotta tell ya .. every time I think "I'll sit & record a show today", it hits me that the world doesn't want it. Not from me, anyway.

I appreciate the support from the remaining few of you, but frankly: I'm just tired of betrayals, lies & bad Christians in my midst. Then, to see what is happening in the world? "No thanks", is all that comes to mind.

I'm not done here, but I won't be doing what I did in the past. And that is what I'm currently occupying my mind, body, spirit with these days.

Don't feel bad nor sorry for me; this is just an explanation because I think y'all deserve that after all of this time.

Too much going on & so little that truly matters .. the world is FULL of misguided people & horrible priorities. I'm just getting my house in order - MORE order, that is.

Long-time listeners know what I've said: "Bad times are a blessing. They let you know who your friends & enemies are and what your priorities ought to be; what matters most will be revealed!".

They loathe guns, yet they use them.

They want to ban guns, yet they buy them.

They preach against gun violence, yet they commit endless acts of it.

They love their mantras of love, tolerance, inclusion & unity, yet they hate, cancel, destroy & kill anything & anyone they disagree with.

They are hypocritically exclusionary.

They say: "Let's create a dialogue .." while banning, blocking, killing dissenters & those who have questions or concerns.

They incessantly use words of separation, chaos & disharmony.

The Bill of Hate:
They hate Christ & God.
They hate Christians.
They hate truth.
They hate America.

Oh, but they LOVE death.

Who are "they"?
They are the Lefty Loons that we have tolerated for far too long.

Disagree? Well .. don't kill me. Calm down, read & reason for once in your miserable hate-filled lives.

Who else fits this Bill of Hate?
Who else is celebrating the MURDER of a man who simply SPOKE & DEBATED for a living? Oh what a crime!

They pander to our Lowest Common Denominator for votes, money & power. They are predators who consider everyone else: prey.

They mock thoughts & prayers because they have willfully, consciously, deliberately turned their backs on God.

It's this simple:
Two people meet.
One is unstable, one is not.
They both have a weapon.
One has his weapon taken away.
What are the two possible outcomes?

If you take away the unstable person and their weapon, everyone else is safe.

If you take away the stable person's weapon, no one is safe - and if you remove the stable person, then lunatics run rampant.

Which world are we living in currently?

It is 9/11.
We have forgotten everything that is important & foundational.

People are murdering people - THAT is the bottom line.

The Left goes after "things" while we conservative Christians want to hold people accountable for their actions.

And they kill us for it.
They killed Christ over the truth & to have it their way.

"We cannot have a guy walking around TALKING .."
Was that said yesterday? Or 2000 years ago?

I'm SO sorry there has been an interruption in ENCORES; it has been unavoidable. Thank you SO much for your patience & understanding!

I did manage to get the last of August up - so there's that.
