@fairfieldquick is excited to announce nora chipaumire will return to the Quick Center with her newly commissioned piece “NOT waiting…”. Choreographers nora chipaumire and Germaine Acogny have come together to create an act of refusal, intergenerational conversation and transmission, sorority, and solidarity. The performance draws inspiration from the Lébou community and the Ndeup healing ceremony, and will be accompanied by a sonic ensemble played by five women from Toubab Dialaw. Don’t miss out on this political statement and gesture that promotes ongoing practices found in Senegal and Zimbabwe.

Fairfield-based, @thefinish.co , participated in @homeswithhope annual “Gather Round the Table” luncheon. As in years past, the luncheon will benefit Project Return at Susie’s House in Westport. Plans have been approved for house renovations to better accommodate the needs of homeless women in Fairfield County. Once completed, this unique program will offer a longer-term housing solution in a nurturing and home-like environment. Once again, the event was a success!
