TRIGGER WARNING | VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED
Welcome to Hear Us Now | Our Truth | Our Stories

Hear Us Now is a podcast about family violence survivors.

While it takes a village to raise a child, it also takes a village to kill one through neglect. The time is over for hiding our pain. Instead it's time to share our stories, to speak up, to seek help.

It's time to turn bystanders into heroes, and equip them to bring healing and change for the next generation. It is time for us to open our eyes and mouths. Speak up for the victims who cannot speak for themselves.

This is… Hear Us Now.

My special guest Floris Niu turned what looked like the end of the road in Samoa, into hope. Floris shares the dramatic turn of events that transformed her life, and began her love for nature through an epiphany on her family's ancestral land.

New Zealand has one of the highest rates of sexual and domestic violence in the developed world,Every 4 minutes, police respond to a family violence incident. Since the pandemic began in March 2020, family violence rates have doubled. The predators are often related to or known to the victim.

If you are unsafe, please call the NZ Police on 111. If you're unable to speak, press 55 once you're connected.
