PNP TO PUT-UP SECURITY CONTROL POINTS ALONG ROADS LEADING TO INAUGURATION RITES
All vehicles approaching the immediate vicinity leading to the National Museum will be subject to thorough inspection by the Philippine National Police on the Inauguration Day of incoming President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. on June 30th.
PNP Officer-in-Charge. PLTGEN Vicente D Danao Jr. said only persons on the guest list with confirmed attendance will be allowed access to the premises.
Guests including the working staff of the inauguration will be thoroughly checked upon entry, the PNP-OIC said.
PBGEN Roderick Augustus B Alba, Chief PIO of the PNP, meanwhile, reminded all attendee to the event to refrain from bringing the following items in the venue:
1.Backpacks and big bags
2.Pointed objects (cutters, blades, knives, etc.)
3.Alcoholic drinks and ci******es
4.Chemicals
5.Fireworks and Pyrotechnics
6.Lighter, match and other combustible items
7.Drones
Alba said these banned items will be confiscated at the entrance gates. The use of transparent bags/containers is also advised to sped up the inspection process.
“The ban on these items ensures that no contraband will be brought inside the venue of the inauguration to guarantee the safety of all attendees” he said.
“We ask for the full cooperation of guests and other attendees over the rigid security check that they will need to undergo upon arrival in the venue. We also advise for them to come at least two (2) hours ahead of the scheduled time of the inauguration ceremony, as the security check may take a few minutes,” Alba said.
