Bathtub Records When I was 4 years old I wanted to name our dog "Bathtub", now I use it as a moniker to record vario Hey guys, this is Ross Swinson.

I've been thinking about this idea for a while now, and I've finally decided to make it a thing. For now, Bathtub Records is just a journal of sorts; a way for me to keep track of the projects I record in my modest home studio. Whether it's a quick 2-song acoustic demo, or a full band LP, I'm happy to adjust to all your recording needs.

Vid #2 of the Pablo Sessions is out today! I am particularly proud of how this one turned out because we experimented with a *roomier* setup of just 4 mics! (mainly because I wasn't sure how to mic a saw, banjo, violin, and trumpet combo...) This was the last take of a 10-hour day, and I think I had the hook stuck in my head for the rest of the night. Check out Apricot Blush and buy their stuff!

Thanks to Tyler Gordon for moral support and for taking my wife to the zoo that one time!

Watch Apricot Blush perform their song "Antlers" in our second sesssion with the Pablo Generation.

News time! I'm stoked to say that I got to record the audio for a new series of videos by Scene SC called the Pablo Sessions! Check out the first video below by one of my new favorite bands, Tom Angst.

Special thanks to Tyler Gordon for helping me set up shop and also troubleshoot when my 9-year-old Macbook was having problems.

The Pablo Generation is a new collective in the blossoming music scene of upstate South Carolina. It was great to get to work with all these different acts a few weeks ago, and there will be many more videos to come in the next several weeks! Stay tuned!

Tom Angst play Future Chord Fest tomorrow and release their debut EP next Friday. Check out our debut Pablo session with them!

We shot the Pablo Generation sessions a couple of weeks ago in a marathon filming and recording session with 7 bands playing two songs each at SceneSC HQ. Here's the first of many to come over the next weeks and months, including interviews with bands. Huge thanks to Bathtub Records for recording the audio for these!

Recording an acoustic song today with a secret guest! Sometimes it's nice to do just acoustic and vocals 😌😌

Jeremiah laid down some geetar tonight for the new Toxic Fox songs! I like to use pretty fabric when I make acoustic panels.

On the schedule for today:
1. Fix that one mic using child-like soldering skills
2. Construct sound panels using child-like woodworking skills
3. Clean my room

Toxic Fox and the New Old Ones

Thanks for liking my page everybody! First up, I'm recording two songs by Toxic Fox and the New Old Ones starting on Sunday. I've known half of this band for almost a decade, so it'll be nice to work with some good friends of mine. Check out their page to keep up with upcoming shows!
