THE JOURNEY OF A LEGEND.... REDSAN

Most of the time we tend to misuse the word "Legend" due to our concious biasness..But on this one I am gonna be accurate at least for once. Redsan is a Legend.
He's a Dancehall pioneer who introduced himself on the Musical Scene via myriads of Jam Sessions at F2 and Suzanne Kibukosya's Zana Ziki Festivals. One day he was approached by Lyrical Eriko and Shanky Raddicks and together they convinced him to join a group known as One 2 Moja.
In 1998 he left One 2 Moja to pursue a solo career after they couldn't agree on which studio to work with. Mark you, those days, there were only two urban Studios in Kenya. One owned by Bruce Odhiambo(Ngong Rd) and another one by Mohamud Omar(Mombasa Rd). Ted Josiah's Blue Zebra came much later. But it was Mohamud Omar who did his 1st Track (Power Supply by One 2 Moja) anyway.
One day he met two Musicians from Uganda (Jose Chameleon and Babe Cool) at F2 and together they did a song known as "Bageya" at a certain Studio (that later came to be known as Ogopa Djs) in South B. They(Redsan, Chameleon and Babe Cool) sat down together with Lucas Bikedo and came up with the name Ogopa Djs with an iconic logo that was heavily inspired by a US streetwear called Dalinkwent.
What they(Media) don't tell you is that Redsan was the 1st Musician to be awarded a Performance Contract by the Carnivore Management. He once won the coveted Chaguo la Teneez award and handed it over to E-SIR. He introduced Chameleon and Babe Cool on the Kenyan Industry. He was amongst the 1st Musicians to fuse Dancehall and Rhumba(Julie). Thank you 🙏

'HAWA' THE NITAREJEA SINGER OPENS UP ABOUT HER DESIRE TO BECOME PREGNANT FOR DIAMOND PLUTNUMZ

Diamond Platnumz’s ex-girlfriend Hawa, who gained notoriety for being included in the song “Nitarejea,” has been transparent about her connection with the CEO of the Wasafi Record Label.
Hawa disclosed to Wasafi Fm that she and Diamond Platnumz dated for an extensive period of time. She claimed that Diamond was an excellent partner and that their relationship was filled with happiness.
It’s one of the best relationships she’s ever been in, she claims. They used to sing together, enjoy some wonderful times, and everything went really well.
Hawa declared that she was prepared to become pregnant for Diamond and raise his offspring. She expressed belief that everything would work out, saying she had already envisioned a future with him.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned, and they had a very tearful farewell to one another. Hawa acknowledged that she still missed Diamond Platnumz, but she overcame her sadness and carried on with her life.
Diamond Platnumz has dated a lot of ladies; following his breakup with Hawa, he began dating Wema Sepetu. Also, nothing worked out.
Diamond has dated a number of well-known women, including Zari, Wolper, Tanasha, Tuda, and Hamisa Mobetto.
Every relationship he’s had has ended in expensive tears. There are currently rumours circulating that he is In a relationship with Wasafi Signee Zuchu.

NGESH KAVEVE KAZOZE MOVES BACK TO THE VILLAGE TO HUSTLE

Ngesh, the Kaveve Kazoze hitmaker, has caused an uproar online after she released a video of herself returning to the village to make ends meet.
This comes after Ngesh and the team revealed that they were broke and unable to pay their bills due to financial instability. The crew reported that well-known politicians such as Mike Sonko and Karen Nyamu made them false promises that have yet to be fulfilled.
Having been recognised and having their song receive over 4.2 million views on YouTube, they claim they have yet to make a single penny. They have also not received any performances or brand partnerships, which has contributed to their financial difficulties despite their celebrity.
According to the video, Ngesh Kaveve Kazoze has finally returned to Nyandarua, her matrimonial home, to hustle and possibly reset and renew her thoughts. The musician is seen in the video washing clothes while saying the famous “Mwalimu wa math” slogan.
“Enyewe Mwalimu wa maths alisema sitaenda mbali,” Nagesh is heard saying as she cleans her garments. The singer has relocated back upcountry; if all goes well, she may return to Nairobi in the near future.
Even though most musicians are receiving job offers during this holiday season, things do not appear to be going well for Ngesh.
Despite this, she has remained relevant by composing songs but not securing gigs, which pushed her to simply return to the rural.

𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗣𝗢𝗞 𝗝𝗔𝗭𝗭

In June 1956, Franco, Jean Serge Essous and De La Lune, who were all session musicians at the Loningisa Studios, got together to form a band which they named Ok Jazz. The name originated from the bar in which they played which was named OK bar. But the name Ok could also be taken to mean Orchestra Kinois.
Essous was a talented hornsman playing both the clarinet and the saxophone. Other original band members were bassist Roitelet, percussionists La M***a LiBerlin and Pandy, guitarist Dessoin and vocalist Rossignol.
The band, then consisting of a bunch of eager beaver teenagers soon caught the imagination of the Zairean public. Pretty soon it was apparent that they were destined for greater things. The rhumba they played was fast paced and involved a lot of improvisation. They played together on a daily basis at a studio owned by a Greek businessman and played occasionally at functions such as weddings. The band's introductory album was labelled on Entre OK on sort KO( you enter ok and leave knocked out) composed by Franco. This was later to become the bands motto. In 1957 lead vocalist Rossignol quit the band for ego-artistic reasons but the band never lost a step. He was ably replaced by Congolese singer Edo Nganga.
Later that year, Zimbabwean saxophonist Isaac Musekiwa joined the band. He was to become one of Franco's closest friends. At this time, the band's leadership was shared equally among Vicky Longomba, Essous and Franco. In the early 60s when Vicky and Essous left to join Africa Jazz, Franco took over the leadership of Ok Jazz for good. Africa Jazz whose band leader was Joseph Kabasselleh a.k.a Le Grande Kalle was the most influential band in the Congo. It had in its ranks an array of talented musicians including Tabu Ley and legendary guitarist Docteur Nico Kasanda.
Following the departure of Vicky and Essous along with several other musicians, Franco recruited vocalists Mujos (Mulamba Joseph), Kwamy Munsi and guitarist Simaro. Saxophonist Verkys Kiamanguana replaced Essous.
Essous, along with other musicians from Congo Brazaville such as De La Lune, Celestine Kouka and Edo Nganga, later founded one of the most famous orchestres of the time, Les Bantous de la Capitale, based in Brazzaville. Les Bantous was later to become a national Institution in Congo-B. OK Jazz and Les Bantous often shared and exchanged musicians. Among the musicians who played on both sides in the 80s was Papa Noel. other prominent musicians who played for Les Bantous were Tchico Tchicaya and Pamelo Mounka. The two bands also cooperated on an album Pont Sur le Congo

AZZIAD NASENYA REVEALS HER BATTLE WITH SUICIDAL THOUGHTS

In a candid conversation aired on TV47, Azziad Nasenya disclosed grappling with severe mental turmoil triggered by cyberbullying subsequent to her viral video "Utawezana." Speaking with Dr. Ofwneke on Wednesday, Nasenya detailed the distressing episode when the deluge of attention following her video's explosion propelled her into a whirlwind of online scrutiny and negativity.
Living in solitude when fame knocked at her door, Nasenya described how the overwhelming pressure from the sudden surge in popularity proved more daunting than anticipated. WASAFI FINALLY INTRODUCES NEW SIGNEE, MAKES FIRST PERFOMANCE WITH DIAMOND

Tanzanian superstar and CEO of Wasafi Record Label, Diamond Platnumz, has officially introduced his latest signee to the public.
Diamond and the entire Wasafi team had promised to unveil the new singer on November 16, and they delivered on that promise during 'The Swahili Night' event, headlined by Wasafi artists.
The newly introduced artist, known as Di Voice, showcased his talent by performing songs from his ten-track album.
The album features collaborations with Zuchu, Lava Lava, Mbosso, and Diamond himself.
Speaking after the formal introduction, Di Voice said he was scared when he was approached by Diamond given the calibre of artist he has grown to be.
After inking his contract, Di Voice who is also known as Swahili Kid said he went home and just cried.
The introduction was followed by a captivating performance where Di Voice showcased his skills and entertained the audience with some of his notable songs, including collaborations with Diamond, Mbosso, Zuchu, and Lava Lava.
Babu Tale, one of the managers at Wasafi, revealed that the label had been cautious about signing new artists due to the departure of previous talents like Rayvanny and Harmonize.
He explained that the experiences with these departures led to the hesitation in bringing in new talent.
"Tumepata hofu, tulikua tunasaini faster lakini tumepata hofu, baada ya kuondoka kwa Rayvanny, Harmonize na Rich Mavoko," he said in a previous interview
Addressing the issue of substantial fees charged to artists for contract termination, Babu Tale defended the practice, stating that it is a standard procedure in the industry. According to him, artists are required to pay no less than Sh29 million (Tsh500 million) to terminate their contracts.
He emphasised that the fees are justified given the significant investments made in developing and promoting the artists.
However, Babu Tale clarified that not all artists are subjected to exit fees, citing Rich Mavoko as an example. Rich Mavoko left the label without making any payment and has not faced legal consequences.
Currently, the roster of Wasafi artists includes Diamond Platnumz, Zuchu, Mbosso, Lava Lava, and Queen Darleen, who has been relatively quiet for sometime.

Bongo music star Diamond Platnumz has asked his alleged lover who is also a WCB artist, Zuhura Othman aka Zuchu to give birth to his child.
Diamond made the request when they were performing on stage at the Wasafi Festival held at the Kahama stadium in Tanzania.
The WCB boss left his rumoured gf with a big surprise while they were singing the song 'Mtasubiri sana'.
The popular singer could be heard saying, "You love me....... you believe in me.... ...Will you give birth for me?" After singing that, the two hugged and kissed, which was much appreciated by their followers
The two stars of Bongo music have together been playing music at these festivals which were filled with laughter after Zuchu's supporters were delighted by the words of the artist Diamond asking him to give birth for him.
This comes a few days after Taarab singer Khadija Kopa who is the mother of Msani Zuchu made it clear in a live interview that she is not aware of the relationship between her daughter and Diamond.
For a long time, Zuchu and Diamond have been alleged to be in a romantic relationship.
