23/06/2022

Today being 23/06/2022 a drama was staged and showcased by Chief Malcolm E. Omirhobo in the Supreme court of Nigeria Abuja. He had the day as the Supreme was astounded, astonished and was short of words. The air was heavy today in supreme court. Because of this man, Supreme court was forced to go into recess to reconstitute. Note that when he entered, the supreme court justices had already gone on recess. So, the man entered before the justices returned from recess and met him in the open court. They were shocked but pretended and never contended. SC managed to hear 1 appeal and struck it out for an invalid notice of appeal. Then, they embarked on another compulsory recess because of Chief Malcolm. He had disrupted the supreme's sitting today 23/6/2022 without saying a word or taking action. Just a message he passed kept restless. And the supreme court uttered no word. They just go up and left. The world covered the events including lawyers in the court. Let supreme court justices go and wear their thinking cap of the message passed by Chief Malcolm today on the purport of the hijab judgement its danger thereof.

Heaven will not fall. In an illegal country, it is full hardy to be religiously calm.

The import of the hijab judgement is that lawyers can dress in their traditional or religious apparels to courts and schools. Chief is a traditionalist and he decided to appear on Delta traditional attire in supreme court today.

Period!

IPOB IS A PRODUCT OF INJUSTICE-----Ohanaeze Ndigbo

The attention of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has been drawn to the statement credited to General Muhammadu Buhari, President and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, urging “the international allies to take additional step to proscribe the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) – as a terrorist organization”. Mr President was quoted to have “pleaded with Nigeria’s international partners, especially the United States (U.S.) and the United Kingdom (UK) to block the group from the international financial network”. Mr President made the remarks during his interview with the Bloomberg.
It is most expedient to enlighten the general public that what IPOB is asking for is the parting words of a Nigerian Titan: the Maitama Sule imperatives to President Buhari when he led the Northern Leaders Forum to congratulate Mr President shortly after his victory in the 2015 general election. Alhaji Maitama Sule of the blessed memory in congratulating Mr President, admonished that “justice is key to good governance”. That Mr. President should “extend justice to all and sundry, irrespective of religion or tribe. Sule reminded Mr. President that an infidel with good conscience and equity can govern successfully, far better than a believer devoid of sense of justice. Sule added that the solution to Nigerian problems can never be achieved by force, nor by fear, nor by power but by equity and justice to all. The prophetic Sule urged him to do justice to all parts of the country because according to him, peace and stability are a product of justice and equity. He added that in the absence of justice and equity, there can never be peace and development. Sule among others stated that in absence of development, there will be mass unemployment, poverty and that the idle men is a devil’s workshop……”
Mr President knows he ignored the eternal advice from the Nigerian foremost patriot, democrat and diplomat, Alhaji Maitama Sule.
What, I think, the IPOB is asking for is very clear: Treat us as partners in the Nigerian project or allow us to go. On the other hand, how can one explain the obvious lopsidedness in the appointment of military and paramilitary personnel to head the followings organizations with little or no South East considerations; Nigerian Army, Nigerian Airforce, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Security (DSS), National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, and Nigeria Customs Service; and several others. On the other hand, as Maitama Sule predicted, the orchestrated alienation of the South East from the centres of power is the basic cause of the agitation in the South East. The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide led by Ambassador Professor George Obiozor has repeatedly stated that a people denied justice may not have interest in peace.
The request by Mr. President to the West is most unachievable because the West watch with keen interest and utter resignation the pathetic governance paradigm in the country. For the avoidance of doubt, democracy all over the world requires justice, equity, mutual toleration and institutional forbearance all of which are in short supply in today Nigeria. Mr. President is reminded that the British profound sense of justice, fortitude, restraint, civic virtues and forbearance are the hallmarks that sustain their enviable government with an unwritten constitution. In a similar vein, what sustains the US democracy is not just the constitution but democratic norms and values anchored on justice and patriotism.
As I am writing, the sad news of another Benue massacre flew in: “No fewer than 16 kinsmen of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State were, Monday, reportedly murdered in a fresh attack by suspected armed herdsmen, who invaded Udei and Yelwata communities in Guma Local Government Area, LGA, of the state". According to the report which is viral, “the latest attack is coming about 10 days after a similar attack claimed several lives in Igama village, Edumoga Ehaje, Okpokwu LGA and four days after a lawmaker and his sibling were also murdered and beheaded by the marauders in Orokam, Ogbadibo LGA of the state……”
Ohanaeze contends that if Mr President confronts the menace of the Fulani herdsmen who have been terrorizing several states, communities and individuals for over seven years now with similar obsession and commitment deployed to IPOB, Nigeria will be a better place.

2023: Revolution is coming, Archbishop Chukwuma..urges youths to rise

Amidst worsening insecurity in Nigeria, the Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, His Grace, Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma has warned that a revolution is coming to chase away those holding the country down.

The Archbishop made the call during his pre-Synod press conference on Tuesday.

He also asked President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to quit if it cannot find solutions to the security problems facing the country.

While noting that the church is very much concerned about the state of the nation, Chukwuma said, “Nigerians should prepare for a revolution, enough is enough.

“This is because of the security situation in Nigeria; kidnappings and killings have become the order of the day.

“Nigerians, for the past 23 years, have endured enough insult, abject poverty and suffering. They have so much been taken for granted.

“The Government of Buhari has not done enough to protect the people. I say this because the number of people killed under the Buhari Government is more than any other country.

“The primary purpose of government is security, but Nigeria has become a safe haven for criminals, insurgents, bandits, kidnappers, killers; they are all on rampage.

“The church is not happy, the church is angry, the church is crying for a revolution, for a new Nigeria. These old cargoes should give the youths a chance, they have expired.

“I have said it that Buhari should resign if he can’t find a way to resolve these killings, the leadership of this country should resign.”

He also accused the security agencies of a double standard in finding solutions to the security challenges.

According to him, “what happened in the Kaduna Airport, as well as the train attack should make the Government know that these terrorists have crossed the red line

“But my question is how can we have battalions of soldiers but they cannot stop this terrorism, there is deceit in the military? What stops them from going into the forests, all they are doing is seminar?

“Nigerian Christians have tolerated for so long, enough is enough. All Christians should rise. The Owo incident is an eye-opener, it is not enough for the Government to sympathize.

“If they could fish out Nnamdi Kanu, why is it difficult to get these people killing our people in all the cities? The security agencies are not sincere.”

He, however, charged the youths to rise and take back the country with their Permanent Voter’s Cards, PVCs.

“There is now clamour to vote out expired leaders; that’s why there is a surge in the number of people seeking PVC.

“The young Nigerians should get their PVCs and vote out these old cargoes. Vote out banditry, vote out corruption, vote out all manners of ills in governance. The youths should rise up, they will decide the 2023 election and any attempt to rig the election will lead to revolution,” he warned.

He expressed concern over the growing rate of abduction and killing of Christians in different parts of the country, urging the Christians to find a way and defend themselves.

He said there was clearly an Islamization agenda but that the Christians would continue to resist it.

Archbishop Chukwuma also stated that the case involving the Accountant General of the Federation was a serious dent on President Buhari’s anti-corruption stance.

“We are talking about N80b. This is the climax of it under the Buhari Government. We need to know what has happened to the N80b and he should be prosecuted and jailed,” he said.

He didn’t spare both the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, accusing them of allowing injustice to thrive by not conceding their presidential tickets to the South-East.

He disclosed that the theme of the synod is: “Feeding the Sheep.”

“We are in a hungry world and the church has a role to play. We are to feed the sheep and not feed on the sheep. This will be emphasised during the synod,” he stated.
