On this day 11 years ago I was stepping into the unknown and as my face reflects, I felt so damned great about it!

When my business failed in 2019 I was shoved into another unknown, and my face would most definitely have reflected much different emotions!! I struggled for 2 years after that change - and while my heart & mind feel so much better today - I still struggle.

I’m sharing this memory as a reminder - to you and to me - that the unknown doesn’t have to be a scary place… that we have what it takes to traverse that unknown.

Here’s a mantra I often say to myself. Perhaps you’d like to say it to yourself too! “I have faith in myself to manifest great things. I am worthy of my hopes and dreams.”

Love is the answer. I was once told that particular truth by an Angel. I’ll tell you about that one day! 😉 Not only was I told in that heavenly conversation that the answer to all things was LOVE (shared to me in caps, truly! 😂), I learned that it’s vital to invest time and energy in loving yourself first… then you can tap into an endless source of love to spread around the world! Happy Valentine’s Day! 💖

Seasons of the year are defined by our calendar and while sometimes the weather may not reflect what we expect from the season itself, we have an understanding of what we can expect from fall, winter, spring and summer in the region we live.⁠

Seasons in life however... well, they come upon us at both expected and unexpected times. Seasonal life shifts and re-directs come at us even when they're unwanted. How do we reimagine our lives, our futures, when faced with change?⁠

Not for a moment will I say I have all the answers. Far from it! I'm on a journey, just like you. Growing, adapting, building.⁠

Is there anything you are a bit insecure about? For me, it’s my size - my weight - and that feeds negative self-talk around my value and worthiness. I struggle with this daily… and every day I work to adjust my mindset with a mantra centred around hope, kindness, gratitude and love… love myself, be kind to myself, be grateful for all that I’m given and earn, and live in a place of hope 💕

In February 2012 - at the age of 49 - I left my secure, well paying job for HOPE. There was no dream to pursue or plan to follow. No idea what would come next. My motivation was simply hope; hope for that often intangible and regularly imagined "better", and a belief that my faith in hope was justified. It felt so wonderful, so I took this selfie to capture the moment! This was the beginning of a major shift in the trajectory of my life... a reimagining.

The rest (and there’s a whole lot more to share) is a story for another day! 😃
