Surprisingly even to me I've written and recorded a song... but I'm not a musician. Drift Away emerged over the past year as a result of a personally disappointing creative project pause. My thoughts were initially collected into words just to help me process through. Recently a melody came to me, and also when I decided my words would now become lyrics. Yes, my recording is raw, and I'm also too many years out of guitar playing practice. Regardless, I chose to record at this time. The result features a guitar rhythm representing the rising and falling of the sea paired with a haunting little riff. Drift Away has deep meaning for me, and this entire production process has been very therapeutic. I hope that you will enjoy it, and I would also welcome your own interpretations or remixes. Thanks so much for listening. Lyrics can be found at renramos.bandcamp.com/track/drift-away
😉🦇🖤 Special thanks to: Postlooperish for endorsing my guitar-to-computer device purchase (iRig HD2). thetokyoteens for making me believe my song needs to be shared. Industria Sinister for encouraging me to create this video post. Please give these artists each a follow, listen, and download. They are brilliant and genuinely inspiring! 🙏🖤

Sarah Walker, horror novelist from the Pacific Northwest is interviewed within Procession Magazine issue 9! 😉🦇🖤 Chris Canter, Founder/Managing Editor of our zine wrote, “Dark, gothic, and full of cosmic horror, Sarah Walker writes some of the most insightful and down-right scariest stories in existence today. Her stories summon a sacred past, casting an aura of unforgiving spell over the reader, bathing them in a sublime dread. Here she talks about her anthropological origins, her love of change, and the wonders of stories with no ending.” Please check out her most recent work at https://a.co/d/dsvbtAm.

genCAB from Philadelphia, PA have their EP, “EVERYTHING YOU SEE IS MINE” reviewed within Procession Magazine issue 9! 😉🦇🖤 Chris Canter, Founder/Managing Editor of our zine wrote, “A treat for anyone who likes their industrial music p***y, raw, and loud. EVERYTHING YOU SEE IS MINE is four songs of ultimate swagger. It all starts with some pulsating beats, which morph into an outright sonic assault that cascades into reckless abandon. It’s an experience of anything-goes that makes this whole thing work really well. My personal favorite track is the closer, Only Skin, due to its uplifting bombastic chorus. But, all four songs on the EP are treasurers in their own right. For Fans Of: Strvngers, Imperative Reaction, Moris Blak.” Please give them a follow, listen, and download at genCAB.bandcamp.com/album/everything-you-see-is-mine.

They continue to impress with each live appearance, or music release, and are just about to drop an amazing new album [titled “A\Version”]. My own introduction came from a song heard on a late night radio show. I was so impressed that I immediately purchased their debut album titled, “Strange Appointments”. Not long afterwards I learned of, and attended their live performance within a very small music store. Arriving too early I had time to meet and talk with vocalist Jeff Sargent—a genuinely original personality. My friendship with the entire band soon followed...” Please give them a follow, listen, and download at 51Peg.bandcamp.com.

ManifestiV are an amazing band that you all need to be aware of. Please show your support. 🦇🖤

Here for you in case you haven’t already noticed. 😀

Somewhere between lullaby and awakening exists ManifestiV. This is where you will experience soothing bells intertwine brilliantly with crunching guitars… all of which are crowned by haunting vocals. Meeting in Dallas, TX as morticians the experimental industrial duo of Paragraph (guitar/vocals) and Lillith (vibraphone/vocals) eventually founded in 2014 while in Vallejo, CA. Once relocating back to Dallas in 2019 they also welcomed Kevin Porter (live bass) and Ryan A (live drums) to the band. Collectively they are producing some extremely creative soundscapes. You do not want to miss out on this! Please give them a follow, listen, and download at ManifestiV.bandcamp.com/album/legacy

Industria Sinister is interviewed within Procession Magazine issue 8. René Ramos (The Face Spotter), creative director of our zine wrote, “Industria Sinister is a solo project self-described as a blend of electronic, post-punk, and industrial from Phoenix, AZ. The results are absolutely brilliant, and intricate musical compositions best listened to loudly wearing headphones. I recently chatted with Gilles about what drives him, and what lies on the road ahead.” We’re also including a closeup view of René’s music inspired zine photo collage.
