In Bruges (2008) - watched on Netflix. Violent and funny. The thing is, I've been to Bruges and loved the place, so really why is Ray so miserable? Oh yep - he's a hitman, sometimes with a conscience. There's a lot of death and some wildly non-PC humour.

Crushed. A little bit of Aussie-noir(ish). It's diverting, there are twists and turns and also wine and vineyards ... but it feels ever so vaguely derivative. Looks good but ultimately lightweight. Features Les Hill (Blake from Home & Away and, more recently, of ANZ business banking ads fame). Streamed on Beamafilm.
