💗 I loveee setting powders🤌🏽 if no matter which sunscreen you use, your skin feels oily/greasy - try using a good translucent powder like any of these that are available for you!

🤝🏽The best of all in highend (that i have tried) is the one👏🏽 this is the one i've been using for almost an year now👌🏼 & for everyday skincare / indoors or if you prefer a clear one - mineral powder is the best!👌🏼—Both of these control oils, sweat & spf from melting. I give some gap after applying spf before going in with such setting powder. In summers especially, skin might feel extra oily, so these setting powders really help! It's a must have for oily skin & they dont dry out my dry skin so thats a win win for all imo! 🤝🏽

I've been using conditioner on dripping wet hair all my life & after seeing some trending reel on IG I wanted to try this tip to see how it works for me & OH MY GOD — I wanted to share this post straight out of the shower😂 my hair was feeling more hydrated & conditioned than usual. Tried this 3-4 times so far & hair has been so manageable🤌🏽

I think this doesn't work for curly hair types.

While we are looking for more mindful & informative terms on the labels of the products, we sadly still see these & believe these.

"free from" section itself doesn't really mean so much unless you're particular about not having something in your skincare for some good reason. But i'd still recommend for you to go ahead & check the full ingredient list to be 100% sure.

i dont really understand the made for indian skin claim!??!!! One way to gather your target audience maybe? but honestly skincare doesn't need to be categorised this way.

"non-comedogenic" is a too overrated & generalized term that means nothing!

toxin free, harmful chemical free - why do we need to see this tag really!

i've been trying the .in radiance lip mask which is a deep nourishing & moisturizing balmy lip mask. It's a medium rich textured lip balm that's non-sticky & leaves lips soft, supple.

Smells like watermelon, not too over powering yet stays on lips. Spreads well on lips & doesn't form lumps or wont come off as layers after sometime. I really liked the texture after application & it lasts long!

Hair serum — I thought it would be hard to compare but I somehow seem to be leaning towards olaplex more than kerastase 👀 Olaplex is lightweight, non-greasy hair serum that leaves hair defined & silky while kerastase also does that it's more siliconey & I don't like how it sits on my hair initially. Kerastase also settles well like olaplex & protects from damage but for my hair type I enjoy olaplex more! affordable alternative is L'oreal⚡️
👀 dermaco spf almost wins the race of Indian sunscreens for me (as of now). I really like the new dot&key spf as well but dermaco's texture is even better for my skin type & I like using it more than the aqualogica one!
👱🏼‍♀️Hair mask — Plum might not do a lot for extremely dry hair types. The garnier one's have perfect texture, suaffordable & very effective!
😍 toner — both are my favourites & I did compare them in detail(will leave it on the story later), but the ginseng essence somehow feels better on my skin than the centella toner! Both are watery, non-sticky toners but the BOJ one deeply hydrates & leaves skin smooth!
☀️Feels like summer is already here & it's time to bring out those cooling refreshing moisturizers! One thing centella gel for the win!!
⚡️Whenever VS has some sales, I get asked almost the same question😼 Pure seduction feels too sweet, fruity imo it's okayish for everyday use but bombshell is more long lasting, has a refreshing floral scent!
🤌🏽hair oils — both are good but kalonji feels heavy sometimes. Chilli oil is perfect for short hair I feel. Kalonji also being a completely single ingredient pure hair oil, it doesn't smells so good but that's not a drawback if you don't consider the sensorial experience👀

sos treatments for the emergency sake👀

usual barrier care is a MUSST!! but these spot treatments gently work on random pimples/acne without disturbing your barrier or overly drying out your skin. You just need to make sure you're not over using them.

✨the first thing I bought after moving to the US is the conditioner from smooth! Yes, the packaging caught my attention first BUT it's SO GOOD!!! makes my hair so smooth & nice, result stays for more than a couple of days after shower! got it for 8$ at walmart & so worth it!
✨ 👋🏽 LOVE IT! Used it thrice so far & it just makes hair very bouncy, fresh & removes oils very well. I didn't face any sort of dryness, hair just feels a little sandy while it settles BUT once done, it turns normal & nice!
✨ carried my favvvv serum from with me as I tried the mini back in India & it always left my skin SUPER SMOOTH & hydrated! i love the texture & performance, really good gentlest hydrtator + exfoliator product! available at (code - skinslayer)
✨ lastly, this cleanser from 🔥 I love the texture, it's a nice gel that foams up well. Has a mild soothing fragrance that feels good & cleanses very well! I'm hooked & I recommend! Look out for deals as it's highend!

✨niacinamide — ordinary has got the best imo, when compared to Pure bubbles, eclat as well.
✨Ordinary glycolic acid when used correctly beautifully works for face, scalp & body! super multi-purpose!
✨I clearly loveeee cosrx bha for my dry sensitive skin!
✨Good genes beats it all BUT ordinary closely competes & works well. Good genes is expensive, so you can surely check ordinary as an alternative if you dont have budget. NO its not a dupe!
✨While there are better hydrators in the market, if you still are in the HA trend - get the inkey one! ordinary one is meh!
✨ while both these retinols are amazing for beginners, inkey list is beauttt🤌🏽💗

another really burning question that I get in the DMs quite frequently. if its severe, i always recommend to consult a dermat. Trying random product to reduce bumps can be really tricky.

hello wedding szn, i hate you lol. Every other message these days is about "pre-wedding" skincare, while I recommend NOT to experiment a LOT of new stuff, or never be all "need to fix this before wedding", there are some masks or facial oils that you can use for a quick pick-me-up. BUT here's a golden rule or whatever you call it - There's a settling time with retinol & don't be a rebel by starting it before your wedding.

it's always good to try the minis before you for the full sizes as you get to see how they work for your skin. Also, they're super travel friendly🫰🏽I've carried these with me on my recent trip & there was zero spillage / breakage - so easy to use & carry! but let me also tell you how they worked for me & if i'd go for the full sizes⬇️

cleanser – for the one's who prefer a good foaming cleanser, that also feels a little gritty on skin, you must try this. It's not harsh but very gently exfoliating & leaves skin fresh.
✨chamomile toner – i loveeee layering toners & this one is sooo good!! its watery & hydrating. Love layering it under my moisturizer, oily skin will specially enjoy this as its very light weight!
😍cicaterol ampoule – my recent obsession i should say!! sooo good, very mildly exfoliating but such a soothing serum kinda product. Love that it's not greasy, very hydrating. I have the full size for it already!
💗cicaful gel – you all already know how much i love it. It's super soothing, calming gel that instantly soothes sensitivity / redness. Must try! I've finished one full size of it & i'll def repurchase!

disclaimer even before i start talking about each — any of these might have worked for you, nobody needs to cancel these products & this decision is solely based on my personal experience! hope this helps someone in some way as these are all a little on the highend & there are def better options available at better prices!

💀anomaly gentle shampoo — a lot of you have been asking me about this as well - it's a below average hair cleanser, not worth it.
💀coffee powder oops coffee scrub.
💀cosrx galactomyces - probably the only cosrx product that disappointed me, broke me out so much back then.
✨kumkumadi thailam - it actually worked but that tiny bottle lasts for just few uses & very expensive. instead try tribe concepts / shesha - both are very very effective and better than this!
💀 olaplex 8 – don't know what it does. Def din damage my hair but just din show any result as well
🫠laneige cream skin refiner – gave me whiteheads🥲 only a disappointment lol.
💀ordinary HA - works for me but is super sticky & not intensely hydrating as such. there are so many better essence / toners that are deep hydrating & does the job with a lot of pre & post requisites needed.
🥹innisfree spf - pills so bad, super greasy & it's everything a spf shouldnt be like.

this is another most common question that I get, shaving causes some sort of sensitivity for sure but using right products after shaving will definitely soothe that sensitivity & supports your barrier!

i usually avoid actives/ exfoliators on my shaving night & go with hydrating & moisturizing routine BUT right after shaving i love using one of these to cool down my skin!

brought in this new interesting range from SNP which is a mix of two of my most fav ingredients salicylic acid + hyaluronic acid. If you have dry skin & if you're worried BHA might overly dry out your skin - find formulations like this, that are barrier supporting & also clarifying!

I have been trying out these products for few weeks & I can say these are good to control oil/sebum, helps with bumps/ acne.

//cleanser//
🫧super creamy cleanser that foams up reallyy well. Can also be used for body & it's not too drying. I would recommend to use this after winter but works reallyy well for all skin types that needs a cleanser to reduce oiliness without disturbing skin barrier. My tip is to use this for body in case you have backne!

// spot gel //
i'm obsessed with this product, it reduced the foread bumps & this can be super handy for occassional acne. Quite a gentle yet effective spot treatment for blind pimples / the one's that can't be treated with patches. I find this effective and is not too drying / not leaving a dry patch behind. Do give this a try!
