What is digital marketing, exactly? Digital encompasses all marketing efforts that use an electronic device or the internet. The components of digital marketing varies from one article/author to the next, but majority would include these elements:1. Website - it's the centerpiece of your digital marketing plan, working 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to represent your business. 2. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - refers to a number of strategies designed to organically boost your rankings in online search results3. Search Engine Marketing (SEM) or often called paid search or pay-per-click (PPC) marketing - a strategy to attract leads by appearing high on search engine results4. Social Media Marketing - the process of gaining traffic or attention from social media sites by posting content relevant to your target audience5. Content Marketing - uses storytelling and information sharing (such as blog posts, white papers, ebooks, digital video, podcasts, etc) to increase brand awareness6. Email Marketing - a cheap, direct, instantaneous, and personalized way to push your message and provide value to your audience over time. Integral to all of these components is to monitor the Marketing Analytics or the key metrics associated with your activities to make sure that objectives and KPIs are met.

I installed an App that hacked my contact list and sent everyone nasty and threatening messages.

For 3 weeks, I felt so depressed and helpless, not knowing how to fight. I tried reporting the incident to the authorities but without a name or company (only unregistered phone numbers that change regularly), it wasn't easy filing a case.

Yesterday I decided to put this thing behind me. Stop being so scared and keep going with my life. They have sent all kinds of messages to my contacts. Threatened me, my contacts, and our families... with the hope that someone gives in and give them money. Damage is done (for some people whose numbers I have stored in my phone ... but I am confident people who really know me can see past those messages).

I am still getting the messages, but I am refusing to give them the power to intimidate and affect me.

So how did you come up with your brand name?

Was it easy? Challenging?

I started this business in 2021 but struggled to come up with a brand name. I didn’t let that stop me.

Instead of waiting, I took the leap and used my name for my domain and logo.

After over a year, here we are – happy to launch a new brand name and relaunch our website.

We don’t like rejections…

Yet that’s what we do to ourselves every time we stop ourselves from taking a chance, from making some life changes.

I have frequently held myself back from doing things because it doesn’t feel like me or I don’t have the skills/courage/experience to do it.

It’s limiting thinking. Self-sabotage.

So many of us hold ourselves back because we have put limits to who we are and what we can do.

We forget that we have the power to define and redefine ourselves.

So today, I’m giving myself a chance. Who’s with me?

Do you feel like life is passing you by as you deal with pressing issues and milestones in your business?

We get it…

We are busy. We have goals and targets to hit.

But…

Life moves on… time slips away very fast… and once it does, you can never get it back.

What if instead of putting things on the back burner… we prioritize and only focus on the most important things, on things that energize us and spark joy?

The first year of my biz hasn't been easy - rejections, self-doubt, uncertainty, anxiety, tears, overwhelm, confusion, frustration, and experimentation. I have to pivot (and redesign my site) so many times. After a year, I'm happy to report that despite all the challenges, I am still here - even more passionate and committed to making it work.I have found the areas I want to focus on.

I've learned to accept NOs without feeling hurt. I'm getting better at knowing which clients are the right fit for me. Most of all, I am grateful for the really nice people I have worked and currently working with. I am not ready to quit my day job just yet... but so far, 2022 looks promising.

For me, one downside of running your own business, especially if you are doing it solo is the aloneness, the isolation.

Of course, we have family and friends, but at the end of the day, they have their own lives and problems. Or they could be supportive but not really relate to what we are going through.
