Dear Alfred
There is a stench in the air more foul than day old java. Let me explain.
I have seen Gotham in all of its glory and I have seen it at its worst. And now, when all seems quiet, is when I am the most concerned. Evil men and women have often frequented my city in the past, and we have had the great Commissioner Gordon to clean things up. When we needed them, we were even graced with Batman and his cute little sidekick Robin. But, from my shop window, I see things are changing now. Our commish is getting older, and Batman is great and all, but I fear we rely on him to much. What can I do to help my home city?

Dear Maggie
I fully understand your sense of urgency. While I have not grown up in Gotham City, I have had the honor of guiding others through that experience. In my opinion, during the good, Gotham is as fine a city as there could ever be.
However, I fear your hunches are accurate. I too have felt a change in Gotham, a general feeling of trepidation. Use caution, Maggie. One must always be alert if one’s surroundings .
As for the “saviors of Gotham” you mentioned, heroes come in many forms. Police officers, teachers, fathers, mothers, even those working in public service. Many’s the time a bear claw and some Earl Grey has changed my attitude for the better.
What can you do to help Gotham? Support Gotham. Financially, physically and even emotionally, support Gotham. Lead by that example, and others are likely to follow. Then, that may lighten the load on the more visible heroes.
If you, dear follower, have a query you would like my humble opinion on, please leave it on this very post, and I shall do my best to respond diligently.
As always, I am...
