David Hoffmeister meets Alex Serra for the first time in a beautiful atmosphere of love, music, and friendship.

After playing at a festival in Ajijic, Mexico, on Sunday morning, Alex Serra visited Living Miracles Monastery, La Casa de Milagros, in Chapala. He has been following David Hoffmeister on YouTube for the last ten years, and this is the first time he talks to David.

Alex Serra is a musician and explorer from Barcelona. His debut album, ‘In the Real World’ (2019), springs from an inspiring four-year self-discovery journey starting in 2012 and taking him through Latin America and South Africa, where he connects with musicians from different musical roots that permeate his music with a unique and regenerating energy.

In 2014, Alex's journey took him to Cape Town (South Africa), where he crossed paths with musician Yannick Meyer. This encounter sparked a deep brotherhood, and together, they embarked on an ‘African psychedelic pop’ project named Native Young. They collaborated with a marimba band from the townships of Gugulethu, Khayelitsha, and Philippi. This profound cultural and musical exploration reshaped his life, igniting a new passion to delve deeper into his musical universe upon his return home in 2016.

We are going green at Living Miracles Monastery in the Strawberry River Canyon. We are preparing a Solar Panel Rack made out of solid oil pipes, facing the blazing sun in midsummer Utah. It feels good to be a blacksmith again after 35 years 😊 I love to be part of the going green team, here with Lynn and James.

So, simultaneous time as opposed to linear time, what does it mean? It seems to be an oxymoron and a contradiction in terms. Simultaneous time is entirely different from linear time. This movie will help us move toward the experience of simultaneous time or the present moment.
