ZAMBIA LAGGING BEHIND
Zambia as developing Nation needs to change the conversation if she were to actualize her agenda for development. It's very disappointing to note that only a fraction of Zambian are having conversation around Zambian development and the rest it's hatred and toxic politics. How do you develop as Nation like that? As Nation we need to wake up to the fact that Zambia will meaningfully develop if the majority of her Citizens participate and it starts by having a positive conversation towards that.
The problem we have, most of us citizens, is we have always relied on government alone to deliver development. We also too much believe that it is only a political party in power that can better our lives. Hence, the conversation. All we talk about is politics through out. When things are not ok in the Nation, instead of asking critical questions and get answers, we are quick to politically complain without proper understanding. Sometimes if we take our political 'lens' off, we will realise we are the solution to many issues.
It's high time we realized political party come and go but Zambia remains. Therefore, let's not allow toxic politics to stagnant our development. Careful, most politicians are not development hungry but power hungry. Zambia's development should come before any political party. Therefore, let's have more conversation about development and change the Narrative.
South Korea and Zambia had their economies at similar levels at one time but Zambia is still behind. Why? What did South Korea do to be where it is today? What can we learn from that country? Rwanda also has made tremendous progress. We can learn something from that country's development. Let's us realise that Zambia, more than anything, needs peace and development to sustain her growing population and navigate through morden challenges. As citizens and for the interest of Zambia, we need we reach a point where we stop playing politics and ask ourselves some questions. What
