The Conclusion to Yesterday's build stream (long post) (specs and price below)

So yesterday we weren't able to post on stream because of post code 98. As it turns out, the motherboard just needed a BIOS update

ANYWAYS! This is my girlfriend's PC. Yes. I have a girlfriend. She wanted a PC where she can work and game. We came up with the specs so she could have a decent gaming experience out ouf the box while having a lot of upgrade potential.

Specs:
>AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
>16 GB 3200MHz CL16 corsair vengeance RAM
>Asrock B550 Steel Legend Mobo
>500gb Samsung 970 evo plus m.2 ssd
>1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD
>MSI MAG A650BN 650w 80+ bronze PSU
>Tecware Forge S omni white

Total cost: less than 40k

As a disclaimer, i only tested this PC on games she would actually play. Valorant and Genshin impact.

On valorant, this thing hit 200+ fps easily at 1080p low settings (let's face it. Fps is more important in valorant than high quality graphics) the fps does drop to around 150 at the lowest but when viewed at a 144hz display you can barely notice it. Or maybe you can. I'm a casual so i didn't notice it. Lol

On genshin impact, it can handle 1080p60 at medium settings. It doesn't stutter on intense fight scenes.

So if you're looking to buy yourself a new pc, you might want to consider the specs that we went with. It's mid-end with high upgrade potential. If you do have a lower budget, you can just go a bit lower than these specs. You could try the 3600g with a b450m motherboard with a more budget friendly ram and case. As for the ssd, you can totally ignore that if you don't mind having long boot times and file access times. As for the power supply, your bare minimum should be an 80+ bronze 500w power supply from a very reputable brand if you plan on buying a graphics card in the future. Don't cheap out on your power supply if you don't want your pc to blow up.

Now i can finally race at 144Hz!

I finally got sim dashboard to work which gives me a HUD that's on a separate device!

All this time I've been racing at 60Hz because i was playing in windowed borderless mode so that i can use dirt telemetry tool. Using windowed borderless also gave me some occassional stutters which is a big pain especially on fast paced stages

Special thanks to sir keanu dominado and other fellow sim racers that lead me to this software. ^_^

Ps. I know my dashboard/hud layout is weird but it's the perfect layout for me. 😅
Pps. I'll still use the telemetry tool when streaming so viewers can still see my inputs.
