Odontogenic myxoma is a lesion that mimics the dental pulp or dental follicle microscopically. Despite being a benign neoplasm, it is quite aggressive and may recur due to the absence of capsule and loose consistency. The treatment of choice is surgical (total removal of the lesion), as curettage may result in incomplete removal. 👍🏻😷

O mixoma odontogênico é uma lesão, que mimetiza a polpa dentária ou folículo dentário microscopicamente. Apesar de ser uma neoplasia benigna, é bastante agressiva, podendo ter recidiva devido à ausência de cápsula e da consistência frouxa. O tratamento de escolha é cirúrgico (remoção total da lesão), já que a curetagem pode resultar em remoção incompleta.
