We like to think that we’re in decent shape, but this hike whooped our butts!

For us it was a 5.4 mile hike gaining a lot of elevation at the very end and stopping at a weather and radio station atop the mountain.

Our New Year’s resolution is to hike it often enough that by the time we’re done in AZ we can get to the top without feeling like we’re dying😅🤣

Just a cactus popping by to say hi since we are currently living in their land.

We noticed a couple of days ago that Ares dog was being really needy which is odd for him. Lo and behold Stephan found a giant cactus needle lodged in his nose! We pulled it out and he went back to only caring about playing ball.

He gets so excited now whenever he sees us pull up to the coast!

He’s also figured out that it’s perfect for endless play time because he can run until he’s overheated and then go lay down in the ocean real quick to cool@down and keep going😂

They just won several hospitality awards and we’d say they were well deserved!

We loved our stay with them and got to watch elk cross by Haystock Rock from our balcony at sunset which was pretty amazing!!
