Just outside of our county...

The exit ramp from WB I74 to US52/Harrison Brookville Road (the Brookville exit) will be CLOSED for an extended period due to a rollover accident. A tractor trailer has overturned and the trailer will have to be offloaded before the truck & trailer can be removed according to ISP.

New Trenton Fire dispatched to US52 and St. Peter's Rd. for a fire investigation. Caller reports that flames are visible above the treeline and ash & soot are falling all over town.

Starting August 7th the Brookville Police Department will begin monitoring the intersection of SR 101 and Reservoir Road. Please be mindful of the traffic lights / speed limits in the area. We also ask motorists to be respectful of the First Financial parking lot. Their parking lot is for customer use only, please don’t increase the possibility of traffic accidents by using their lot to avoid the traffic light.

If you're traveling WB I74, between US52 and SR1, the traffic backup is due to a semi that broke down in the construction lane. They were able to move the barriers & equipment and allow traffic to travel through the construction site, until the truck can be towed.

Sheriff's Deputies are asking for the public's help with locating a missing person. Roger Purcell, age 50, was last seen at his home in the West Harrison area last night (06/20/24) at about 11:00 p.m. Roger was last seen wearing a gray cut off tank top and white shorts. If anyone has seen Roger, or has information, please contact the Franklin County Sheriff's Department at 765-647-4138.
