The good lady Independent Travel Agent indoors bought me this Blu Ray for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and what a treat this one is!

Very bleak, very creepy rural possession horror and I absolutely loved it! Another absolute gem from

We'd rented the DVD from our beloved local movie rental shop (yes, we have one!!) and I HAD to own a physical edition.

Seek this out if you liked Hereditary, The Babadook, The Exorcist, The VVitch- it's that kind of flavour of horror.

Taking me back to my uni days! 😍

Been a long time since I've taken a look through this book, but looking forward to seeing how it holds up given how much gender politics and understanding have changed in the past 10 years since I studied Film!

HELLBENDER (.family.films)

I loved this film SO much! It’s available on right now and I URGE you to go and see this. It’s phenomenal!

An incredible coming of age tale, the real life mother/daughter relationship at the heart of the story is absolutely wonderful. It has spent it’s small budget extremely well with some incredible effects and just a little psychedelia (too much really turns me off!)

Hellbender also strays into what is fast becoming my favourite subgenre of horror- not knowing whether to be scared of, or for our main character.
