Thank you to everyone who waded through the LA rain to join us last Friday for our Chuito El De Bayamรณn album release celebration! Thanks to and we were able to channel a bit of that Boricua spirit here in LA ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ท

really made the night with their incredibly joyous and fun performance. If youโ€™re in LA, we highly recommend you catch them at their next performance at in December.

Although was mostly sold out when we finally had a chance to get some food, we were able to enjoy their sopa de pollo, which really hit the spot on that rainy day. Catch them at one of their pop-ups in LA and get treated to some of the best food in the city.

In recognition of Chuitoโ€™s influence on Puerto Rican Christmas music, weโ€™re marking the release with an early holiday gathering.

There will be live plena music by Plenazo Tribe (), and delicious Puerto Rican bites by Wepa Pโ€™al Mundo ().

Excited to announce the first vinyl reissue from one of the most seminal figures in Puerto Rican โ€œmountain musicโ€ aka โ€œmรบsica jรญbara.โ€ Chuitoโ€™s unique vocal stylings, improvisational flair, wit, and humor cemented him in the annals of Puerto Rican music.

On Vol. 4, originally released in 1963, heโ€™s accompanied by Toรฑito Ferrer y sus Jรญbaros Modernos, tackling beloved jรญbaro rhythms like aguinaldo and seis, along with some jรญbaro takes on the Dominican merengue and Cuban punto.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ We are deeply saddened by the passing of the great Nieves Quintero (1931-2025), an extraordinary Puerto Rican cuatrista who has been a prolific Ansonia collaborator. He released 7 solo albums and contributed to many others, including recordings with jรญbaro legend Ramito. His legacy lives on through his music.
