Get ready for a chilly night tonight with lows dropping into the 20s for most of Middle Tennessee 🥶 We warm back up tomorrow before more rain arrives late Thursday night and Friday then continues into early Saturday. Look for a big warmup over the weekend with highs back into the 60s & 70s, then more showers & storms return early next week ⛈️

What a beautiful day to get out and maybe do a little fishing. Lots of bass was caught this past weekend and some crappie. We have minnows and night crawlers. Our Bass tournament starts this Saturday from 8-2. Everyone is welcome to fish.

Good afternoon, weather peeps. We are about to head into the last weekend of February. This time next week, it will be March. We've got a splendid weekend forecast, albeit a little chilly. But we should stay rain-free at least until Sunday night. Next week looks to be warmer with some storminess Tuesday night and Wednesday. It's really too early to start discussing any severe potential that far out since details are still somewhat sketchy. So for now, let's enjoy some sunshine this weekend.

ICYMI: We're recognizing February 2024 as Earthquake Awareness Month and reminding Tennesseans to prioritize earthquake preparedness before a disaster.

Do you know why earthquakes frequently occur in Tennessee? The Volunteer State has two seismic zones – the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ) in the west and the East Tennessee Seismic Zone in the east. While earthquakes most often occur with little to no warning, there are actions you can take to protect yourself and your family.

One consideration is to purchase earthquake insurance, especially for homeowners located in Tennessee’s seismic zones. The Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance (TDCI) reminds consumers that earthquake insurance can lower consumers’ financial burden in the event of an earthquake. Traditional homeowners and business insurance policies do not cover earthquake damage.

Talk to your licensed insurance agent today about purchasing an earthquake insurance policy.
