We constantly come across people living their best life, travelling and living a life you thought you always would have.
But nobody shows the REAL stuff, only their highlight reel. Remember that.
Social media is an amazing place to connect, network, learn and find inspiration but if you feel like it's doing more harm, you might be leading yourself into a burnout and a detox would be best.

Don't focus on their success, instead start to think about where you are on your journey and how much effort and time they've spent to get there.

Instead of being unhappy on where you are in life, learn to accept it. The ride only gets better when you choose to accept that it isn't the goal itself that will make you happy but the road to getting there. Acknowledge it without fighting it and start moving forward in the right direction.

If you had asked me to make a few years to make an investment into my business... I would been in shock. 😱
I would have made plenty of excuses as to why I wasn't ready to make the investment or why the funds weren't available to me.
Truth is, I had a completely different mindset - I was right. I wasn't ready to make that type of investment. I didn't see the value of it.
Whether it is a product, a service or an idea, you will need the support of social media 🌍
It's called an investment - as it returns to you a certain value. I mean, everyone's dad can post on social media but it takes strategy, expertise and knowledge to turn your socials into an organic traffic machine.
Most people will look at outsourcing their social media as an expense. However, when you put yourself and your business in front of 100s+ of people everyday, it's a no brainer to invest in.

Here’s something you can try doing to change that
1. If you have certain tasks that require a lot of brain power and if you have times during the day where you have trouble focusing, categorize your tasks according to the brain power capacity and time. Just write them down on your notebook 📒
2. Change of environment – Sick of working from your room? How about shifting your workstation to the living room, or an area with a window which has a different view. 🌞🌲
3. Get up and put some work clothes on! This might really help you switch to work mode! 👩🏽💻

Let's take a very simple example 🧐
On your daily Instagram story scroll, do you come across your friend out having a yummy French toast for brunch and happened to have tagged the café on her story?
So curiosity gets the best of you once you see the food 🤤 eventually click on the mentioned café and you end up scrolling through their feed.
What's next? You end up calling your friend and decide to go their for brunch the next weekend or order via ubereats that day itself because you want to try it too!
Am I wrong? 🤓
Don't get me wrong, word of mouth is incredibly persuasive 🙌🏽
We now live in a world where social media is the new word of mouth.

🌸 Be patient - Just because a strategy that you've implemented for a month is not generating immediate results, doesn't necessary mean it's not working.
💪🏾 Put in the effort - Are you following a certain course but only learning the parts which you find interesting? How do you think that's going to work out?
⏰ Make time - running out of time to put in the effort to work when you are distracted with your personal life? Nope, not an excuse. Schedule your day, you'll realize there's a lot of time in a day once you've planned it all out.
