What is a spiritual sacrifice?

“you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

What is a spiritual sacrifice?

“But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭6‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

““Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.”

“Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The night is far gone; the day is at hand. I’ve heard people say you can’t pour out for other people when you’re empty or you can’t fill from an empty cup. I’d like to say this only applies in the flesh an carnal mind. And let me remind you that mind is in direct opposition to Christ.
Have you ever heard Peter say to the man who couldn’t walk silver and gold have I none.

We are rich in Christ by faith dispite what we have of worldly wealth.

If people have needs and you have this worlds version of what’s good then By faith give, It is our responsibility. But don’t confuse lacking money and energy with being able to pour into someone. Peters shadow healed people, Are you going to stop casting one?

I’ve been trying to find a picture to help describe a feeling I’ve been experiencing. I feel like Easter having been celebrated yesterday the world continues on but in my mind I see an image. I’m a young person who just pulled my heart out of my chest and is placing it in the hands of Jesus. It’s a shocking image. The hole left and the heart drips with red blood and the feeling I get is the great value of the gesture as well as the heart itself.
One thing that I’ve found to be the most life changing is while I’m doing it I can’t help but study the look on His face while He watches me and confirms to me the trust I’ve shown by doing this.
The care and compassion is pure and evident when all I can say is remember me.

The first thing Jesus told Paul once Paul realized who he was I think was profound. 🧐

He said “ it’s hard for these to kick against the pricks”. Not a question but a statement. That statement came right after he said I’m Jesus who you’re persecuting.

When you’ve spent a lot of time looking for the little details in things you see 👀 and hear 👂 you start to make connections that maybe only a few know. Or even just you.

Then someone comes to you bombarding you with these In ways they think are random and don’t matter. To them you might look crazy but to the person experiencing what they think are significant things. Names, people, the list can go on and on.
Invisible connections that seem to complete a picture, it’s an encounter they tend to wonder about. It might seem to them like you’re oblivious, confused or not talking things seriously.

When we encounter something that doesn’t belong or looks suspect, we cast it aside for something that will confirm what we’ve wanted to see all along. Even if it’s dark.
