This is my dad.🙂 Growing up, the highlight of Sahr family gatherings were always the stories my dad and his two brothers told about their childhood. Hearing these stories as a kid was like opening a fairy tale and stepping into another world. It was magical. “Larry & Sons,” the next episode of Folk’s Tales, brings these stories to life with a lovingly crafted musical score and interviews with both my uncles and my dad. It’s a project with deeply personal connections and universally relatable themes. After all, we all come from a family.

“Larry & Sons” releases Monday, November 25th.

Larry & Sons releases next Monday, November 25th. The stories and music from my dad and uncles have always been so influential in my creative practice, but never more so than in this project I'm about to release. It's their telling of their stories set to music played on instruments they've passed down to me.
