“Bowhunter Class” target bow. This old Hoyt RX4 Ultra is incredibly stable and accurate - An absolute dream to shoot. I can’t bring myself to upgrade.

Bowhunter Class bows cannot have optical magnification and cannot have front stabilization longer than 12 inches.

This bow has tallied several perfect 300 rounds.

A heavy, mature buck I shot this week.

Last year I had some string-jump misses. So in the off-season I did a few things to quiet-down my arrows. Maybe it helped, since this buck didn’t flinch as he took one through the lungs.

It was my longest shot ever - and no, I’m not going to say how far - but it was awesome.

Pitched on a cliff edge. We got caught in the fog on this ridge close to dark, and this was the best tent spot we could come up with.

We found a legal ram in the cliffs below us the next morning. We’re watching him in this photo. He was pretty nice, but we let him live another year.
