Zonal Level Cycle Race organized by ZPEO Bijbehara

The Zonal Physical Education Officer Bijbehara organized Inter School Zonal Level Cycle on today (26th of April 2023), among the School Students of Zone Bijbehara. The Race was started from Dara Shikoh Garden Bijbehara & was culminated at MS Laribal (Village Laribal). The Race was flagged off by the Senior Field officials of ZPEO Zone Bijbehara at 8am from Dara Shikoh Garden. In the Race, near about 80 Cyclists from different schools of Zone Bijbehara Participated with zeal and zest.
In U-17 age group, Yaseen Rashid of Public School Bijbehara got 1st Place, Sahil Mushtaq of HSS Arwani got 2nd Place and Muzamil Rehman of HS HP Bagh got 3rd Place. While in U-14 age group, Muneeb Irshad of MS Balyar got 1st Place, Aqib Ashiq of BMS HP Tawaila got 2nd Place and Ubaid Manzoor of Sir Syed Memorial School Zirpora Bijbehara got 3rd Place.
While speaking on the occassion the field official of ZPEO Zone Bijbehara Dr. Riyaz Veeri said that sports is the powerful tool with which the drug menace can be eradicated. He said the sports activities will not only help youth to showcase their talent but will also keep them away from drugs and other such bad activities. He further said that purpose of activities of Youth Services and Sports is to get more and more youth involved in various sports activities so that they will remain away from drug addiction.
On the Prize distribution ceremony of Race the PEM Khurshid Ahmad War along with other Officials distributed the medals among the position holders of the Race.

qualifies for Grand Finale of Bijbehara Premier League BPL

The unbeaten Khan Sultans team qualified for the Grand Finale of ongoing Bijbehara Premier League (BPL) underway at BHSS ground Bijbehara Anantnag, thrashed Elegant Strikers Srinagar in the Semi final match by 92 runs. Inform batter Nasir Kumar hits ton in the match and Shiva Singh scored 50 runs. Earlier while batting first team Khan Sultans set the mammoth total of 235 on the board.
In reply Elegant Strikers Srinagar collapsed on the score of 143 runs and lost the match by 93 runs. From Elegant Strikers Srinagar batter Ishtiyaq Robby was the top scorer with 58 runs.
From Khan Sultans side Shiva Singh took Three Wickets, while Nasir Rasool & Ayush Jamwal took Two Wickets each. Thus unbeaten Khan Sultans team became the 1st team of the league to qualify for the Grand Finale of the League.
On the post match Presentation ceremony Nisar Kumar was adjudged as player of the match for his brilliant Ton in the match.
In a Congratulatory message the Owner of Khan Sultans team Nasir Ahmad Khan praised and Congratulated the team for the phenomenonal victory over the Elegant Strikers Srinagar in the semis. He further said that our team will keep this momentum in final as well and will lift the title of the league.
Later the team Spokesperson Mr. Kaiser Misger lauded the players and Management for the brilliant victory in the semis.
The team got praise and appreciation from all corners of the valley for qualifying the grand Finale of the league.

The unbeaten Khan Sultans team qualified for the Semis of ongoing Bijbehara Premier League (BPL) underway at BHSS ground Bijbehara Anantnag, thrashed Gazi C.C Kenihama in the quarter final match by 77 runs. Inform batter Nasir Kumar hits ton in the match. Earlier while batting first team Khan Sultans set the mammoth total of 200 on the board.
In reply Gazi CC Kenihama collapsed on the score of 123 runs and lost the match by 78 runs. From Gazi CC Kenihama batter Junaid Lefty & Rafiq were top scorers with 28 & 28 runs respectively.
From Khan Sultans side Shiva Singh took Three Wickets, while Muneeb Munaf & Ayush Jamwal took Two Wickets each. Thus unbeaten Khan Sultans team became the 2nd team of the league to qualify for Semis stage, where the team has to face Elegant Strikers Srinagar on Sunday.
On the post match Presentation ceremony Nisar Kumar was adjudged as player of the match for his brilliant Ton in the match.
Later the Owner of Khan Sultans team Nisar Ahmad Khan hailed the team for the brilliant victory in quarter final match. He further urged the team to work hard and keep the same momentum in the semi final match as well, which is very crucial match for the team.
In a congratulatory message the Manager of Team Mr. Iqbal Khan Congratulated team members for the spectacular Victory in the match and lauded Nisar Kumar for his brilliant Ton in the match.

decimates Hamdan Hurricanes in a thriller of Bijbehara Premier League

Khan Sultans decimates Hamdan Hurricanes in a thriller of the ongoing Bijbehara Premier League (BPL) here at BHSS ground Bijbehara on Wednesday. In the 2nd League match Khan Sultans defeated Hamdaan Hurricanes Srinagar by a huge margin of 88 runs and registered its 2nd consecutive victory in the league.

Earlier, while Batting first team Khan Sultans scored a total of 190 runs in the allotted 20 overs, in which team's captain Imran Bazaz and Imran Haroon played brilliant innings of 55 & 66 runs respectively.

In reply, the Hamdan Hurricanes failed to chase the target and lost the match by 88 runs. Thus, the Khan Sultans emerged as Winners in the match and registered their 2nd consecutive win in the league.
On the post match presentation ceremony Gowher Rashid was adjudged as man of the match, who bowled brilliantly and took four wickets in the match. In a congratulatory message the owner of Khan Sultans Nisar Ahmad Khan said that, "I am highly impressed by the efforts of all the players of the team in every field. I congratulate the whole team from the management & hope team will play with the same enthusiasm in future games as well".

The tournament is Organized by Bijbehara Cricket Association.

District Tennisball Cricket Championship concluded in Anantnag

District Tennisball Cricket Championship concluded successfully at BHSS ground Bijbehara Anantnag. In the Championship a total of 86 teams Participated in Senior, Junior & Sub Junior Boys & girls Categories. In the Sub Junior Boys Govt.Middle School Darigund emerged as Winner and Govt. Middle School Laribal emerged as Runners up. In Junior Boys Green Land Chandpora emerged as Winner and Bijbehara XI as Runners up. In Senior boys DCC Khiram emerged as Winner and Star Sports Kanelwon as Runners up. In Senior girls Anantnag XI emerged as Winner and Elite School Tailwan emerged as Runners up. On the final presentation ceremony of Championship Principal Govt. Higher Secondary school Boys Bijbehara Mrs. Nasreena Akhter was chief guest who gave away the Trophies to Winners and Runners up teams.

PEM Manzoor Ahmad Bhat gets felicitation on Superannuation

The Officials of Department of Youth Service and Sports Zone Bijbehara felicitated Senior Physical Education Master(PEM) Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, who is reaching Superannuation (Retirement) on 30th April 2022. Manzoor Ahmad Bhat is working as Senior Physical Education Master (PEM) in Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Bijbehara. During his career as a teacher, Manzoor Sahab has aptly guided many students who went on to become successful in life. Manzoor Sahab has been widely praised in the South Kashmir for his simple and sweet lifestyle. On today a small function was arranged by Officials of Youth Service and Sports Department Zone Bijbehara to felicitated him for his remarkable service to the department. On the occasion, all Officials appreciated the dedicated services being rendered by Manzoor Sahab. Further officials presented a momento as a token of love to Manzoor Sahab. Later Officials wished Manzoor Sahab a very happy post retirement life.

Dawat-e-Iftar Organized by Veerian Cricket Academy & Veerian Classes

The renowned Cricket Academy of Anantnag, the Veerian Cricket Academy(VCA) Organized "Dawat-e-Iftar" this evening (24.04.2022) in collaboration with Veerian Classes at Padshah Bagh Bijbehara Anantnag.
The Dawat was organized as a part of celebration of the holy month of Ramadhan with an aim to spread the message of brotherhood and religious harmony among the sports persons of South Kashmir cutting across all barriers.
In the said Dawat, special Chicken Biryani, Dates, Juice, Bananas, Babri Tresh (Basil Seeds Water) were served to the invitees as good will gesture. The chief Patron of Veerian Cricket Academy and the Renowned Sports Analyst of J&K Mohatram Lal Mohammad Ganie was the chief guest on this occassion under whose supervision the Dawat was hosted.
Scores of Sports Persons, Cricketers, Ex-cricketers, members of Cricket Clubs, Members of Cricket Associations and Media persons attended the Dawat.
While talking to media persons the Chief Guest of Dawat-e-Iftar, Mohatram Lal Mohammad Ganie said that, "It was a community get together. The Holy month of Ramzan is known for the festivals and rewards. So we are trying our best to send across a message of brotherhood by hosting Dawat-e-Iftar for Rozdaars. He further aaded that one of the best way to increase our Iman and multiply our rewards in the blessed month is by providing iftar to someone who is fasting. Futher this is the beautiful deed that our beloved Prophet (SAW) practised and encouraged his ummah to perform.
At the end of the Dawat, prayers were held for the peace and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.

ZPEO Bijbehara Organized Road Race for Boys

The Zonal Physical Education Office (ZPEO) Bijbehara organized Road Race for U-19, U-17 & U-14 boys on today (25 March 2022) in Zone Bijbehara. The Race was off 6 Kms, which started from Semthan (Highway Crossing Point) & was culminated at HSS ground Arwani. The Race was flagged off by the worthy Zonal Physical Education Officer Bijbehara Mr. G.N. Pala along with the other Officials of ZPEO Bijbehara. In the Race near about 250 Students from different schools of Zone Bijbehara Participated. In the Race Tasaduk Rashid of MS Marhama secured 1st place, Kaasif Bin Ayoub of MMI secured 2nd place & Mohsin Saleem Dass of MS Waghama secured 3rd place in U-14 Catagory. While in U-17 catagory Jamid Farooq of HSS Arwani secured 1st place, Shahid Amin of HSS Bijbehara secured 2nd place & Danish Bashir of HSS Arwani secured 3rd place. In U-19 catagory Sujeel Mir of HSS Arwani secured 1st place, Aamir Gani of HSS Arwani secured 2nd place & Irshad Ahmad of MS Marhama secured 3rd place.
On the Prize distribution ceremony of Marathon Race the Principal HSS Arwani Mr. Gh. Hassan Dar along with ZPE officer Bijbehara G.N. Palla distributed the medals among the position holders.

JKCA appoints as the Captain of J&K Ranji Team 2022

JKCA appoints Ian Dev Singh as the Captain of J&K Cricket Team for the Ranji Trophy 2022. Ian Dev Singh is a Wicketkeeper Batsman. He has played 82 first Class Cricket matches for J&K and has scored 5000 plus runs till now. He has scored 16 centuries and 21 fifties in his FC Career. He has captained Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy 2013-14. Now this is the 2nd time when he is going to lead the J&K in the Ranji Trophy.

DYSS Anantnag celebrates National Youth Day-2022

Department of Youth Services & Sports Anantnag Celebrated National Youth Day on today to mark the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The Programme was organized at District Youth Services & Sports Officer Anantnag , Zonal Headquarter Bijbehara, Dooru & Mattan. As per the Program Panel Discussion, Yoga Mediation, Forest Bathing, Clean India and other Activities were held. On the occassion Speakers also threw light on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
The Participation was limited to 25 Persons at each Venue owing to the adherence of COVID -19 Protocols by adopting CAB Masks & Sanitizers. Earlier Hon'ble Prime Minister inaugurated the programme virtually which was attended by the ZPEOs/PEl's/PEM's/ PET's/ReK's/NYC's and Students in virtual mode.

Mirgund lifts Guree Premier League GPL Guree tittle

Imtiyaz Sports Mirgund lifts the tittle of Guree Premier League by defeating ACC Astanpora Veeri by 2 runs on today here at Chinar Stadium Guree Anantnag. While Batting first Imtiyaz Sports Mirgund set the target of 108 runs in allotted overs. In reply ACC Astanpora Veeri failed to chase and lost the match by 3 runs. Thus Imtiyaz Sports Mirgund emerged as Winner in the grand Finale and lifts the title of the League. Farhan Ahmad from Imtiyaz Sports Mirgund was adjudged as man of the match for his 29 runs and 3 Wickets. Imtiyaz Ahmad was decleared as player of the league. The league was organised by Shah-e-Hamdaan Sports Guree Anantnag.
