*PEMBA BUSINESSMEN,MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT INJECT FUNDS FOR A PRESTIGIOUS INDEPENDENCE FOOTBALL & NETBALL TOURNAMENT.*

Pemba born Chingola and Choma based businessmen Mr.Kebby Cheelo and Mr.David Lukaba have team up with the area member of Parliament Hon Lameck Hamwata in organizing the first ever prestigious netball and Football tournament in the district.

The tournament which is aimed at improving sports standards in Pemba has seen teams from all the wards competing for the final prize which will be awarded during this independence celebrations.

Muzoka ward will be the home of the Quarter ,Semi and the Finals of the tournament slated for the 24th of October,2023.

Pemba district is one of the places in Southern Province that poses massive sporting talent that should be uplifted to international standards.

The preliminary knock out stage that kicked off two months ago in every ward, are expected to be complete in the first week of next month in readiness for the finals on independence day.

Each of the twelve wards will be represented by one football and netball team which will emerge victorious from the Wards Preliminary knock out.

Pemba member of Parliament Hon Lameck Hamwata says the tournament is in line with President Hakainde Hichilema's call for hard work among the young people.

The law maker says the tournament will also be a good platform to explain some the successes scored by the UPND government.

Mr .Kebby Cheelo ,one of the sponsors and local businessman says enhancing sporting activities in Pemba will help curb the occurrence of bad vices such as early marriages.

And Mr David Lukaba ,another local businessman and sponsor of the tournament says football and other sports disciplines can be used as a tool to share business ideas to young people in the villages.

The trio have called on traditional leaders in Pemba to support the initiative and help improve local talent.

They have called on other well wishers to join supporting the initiative.

Fellow citizens.

As soon as we arrived at our Naminwe ranch here in Namwala, we went round to check on our herd and also did some work.

It is our considered view that as citizens of this great country, we must at least be finding time to do farming activities at individual or indeed household level as that is the surest way of attaining food security.

We are optimistic that while in office, together, we will start spending much more time on productive economic activities.

It is always refreshing to do some farming activities as from inception, we have taken it to be a serious business and source of self employment.

Let's all get involved and get it solved.

Among the thieving crimes, include: Stealing from clients who she was offering mouth services including some pinnacle hoes.

Koswe is still trying to establish if this PF cadre has entered Zambia via Malawi as she recently posted her old video cheating that she had arrived in Zambia.

We were deeply honored to visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Memorial Park in Accra this morning and paid tribute to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the Founding Father of Ghana, Pan-Africanist, and icon of African liberation.

Witnessing the various artifacts representing Dr. Nkrumah's political journey leading up to Ghana's independence was truly a moving experience.

The symbolic placement of the Mausoleum on the very spot where His Excellency Dr. Nkrumah declared Ghana's independence in 1957 is a testament to how the people of Ghana hold him in high esteem and recognize him as not only a liberator of Ghana but of Africa as a whole.

The words of Kwame Nkrumah, "Our independence is meaningless unless it is linked up with the total liberation of the African Continent," are now embraced by the new leadership of Africa in their relentless fight against poverty, and their steadfast desire for equal economic partnerships on the global stage. They understand the importance of Africa harnessing its resources through value addition for the benefit of its people.

May the Soul of Dr Kwame Nkrumah rest in peace.
