Our film follows Tee Ken’s creative process, his unique approach of creating the form first, and then art. We get to see the magic he creates, and how he does it, whilst hearing who he is and how he thinks.

None of this would have been possible without Ella’s exceptional collaboration with everyone on the team. Ella’s vision and understanding of Ken’s extraordinary mind brought this film to life!

This win is especially meaningful as not only does it marks Kirri Media’s first film in the world, but it is Ella’s second directing role - a testament to her talent and dedication.

A heartfelt thank you to Screenwest and ABC TV + iview for the invaluable support in making this film. We can’t wait to do it again!

Nyikina and Jabirr Jabirr woman, Kalinda (Gal) Palmer has experienced the ways in which health systems have challenged her through birth and motherhood. Inspired by conversations and learnings from her Elders, Gal dreams of a future where she, her family and community can have sovereignty over birthing, ceremonies and tradition - a future where she can bring new life into the world, on Country, in a way that she has always imagined.

Tee Ken Ng, who is accustomed to being behind the camera, once again finds himself pushing
boundaries as he steps in front of it for the making of this film. Just as he challenges self-
imposed limitations in his artistic endeavours, he courageously embraces the vulnerability of
being the subject himself. Writer/Director Ella Wright of Tiny Light Films, a close friend of Ken's, created a
beautifully uplifting environment that allowed Ken to shine as the warm, curious, and playful
person he is, while simultaneously capturing the essence of his unique artistic mindset! 📸✨
