[A New Tool for Vocalists]

The fine gents at The Modern Metal Songwriter invited me to check out their new vocal plugin and I must say I'm quite impressed. I made a little demo to run it through its paces.

I made more progress on the studio remodel this weekend. I’ve added a ton of treatment and I was able to repurpose some of my old acoustic panels and turn them into a cloud. Eventually things will look prettier, but for now it’s more about function than form. I procrastinated on doing this for a long time but I’m glad I finally did it. As rough as it looks at the moment it’s actually pretty vibey and nice to hang out in IRL.

I was working on the latest Samora Single and I needed a bit more length in the snare. I pulled out the old "Parallel Smash" trick and it worked quite nicely.

I feel like the bass doesn't get the respect it deserves. It's often treated as an afterthought but the bass is what makes heavy music heavy. It's also the one of the things that people seem to struggle with the most when they're recording.
