It's time to get to know one of New Orleans' best-kept secrets: yakamein! This isn't just your average soup or bowl of noodles, it's a comforting bowl of deliciousness. Packed with tender beef, shrimp, and eggs, this dish is known for being a hangover cure that's lovingly called "Ol' Sober".
To make this bowl of deliciousness, start by marinating the beef in Creole seasoning and soy sauce for at least 30 minutes. Heat some oil in a large pot and add the beef strips. Sear them on both sides until they're browned and add the beef broth and herbs, spices, and sauces. Let it simmer until the beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender.
While the soup is cooking, cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package directions and also cook the eggs in a pot of boiling water.
