THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK CHECKLIST ⬇️
1️⃣ Examine your thesis title and research question or research problem.
- Ensure your theoretical framework fulfils your thesis title and answers your research questions.
2️⃣ Identify your independent variable (IV) and dependent variable (DV).
- For that, list down your variables. Then, decide which group it will fall into.
3️⃣ Word usage in writing your variable name: Either 1–3 or 4–6 or 6–8 words long
- The fewer words you use in writing your variable name in the theoretical framework, the better. But be sure to provide more detail about the variables in the literature review.
4️⃣ Consider how the variables relate to the theory.
- Either adapt or adopt the theory. But provide sufficient information related to the theory in the literature review.
5️⃣ Choose the shape of your variables: either rectangles or circles.
6️⃣ Position of your key variables
- The independent variables will be on your left. Meanwhile, the dependent variable will be on your right.
7️⃣ Arrow the direction of your key variables.
- The arrow direction should be from your independent variable (IV) to your dependent variable (DV).
8️⃣ Remember to use thick-line arrows to show the relationship between your independent variable and dependent variable.
9️⃣ The first letter of each variable needs to be capitalised, and the rest in lowercase.
🔟 Check your spelling and font size
1️⃣1️⃣ Don't bold or italicise your words.
