A Story of Power, Lust, Betrayal and the Devil
When justice and that which is right is ignored, it provides the perfect environment for evil to thrive. Such were the conditions on a small island north of Scotland in the 1600s. Division in the church, clan wars and a tyrannical tribal leader using witchcraft trials to prop up his crumbling authority threw the door open for demonic powers to attack.
Standing between the powers of evil and a superstitious population, trying desperately to survive the harsh northern conditions was one monk. Trained in the field of exorcism and the secret arts contained in the ancient book called The Key of Solomon, Father Joseph was about to enter into a battle arena the likes of which he had never seen before. Even after years fighting as a hired mercenary for clan chiefs across the Highlands of Scotland, this battle would test him to his limits and beyond.
His was not the only battle being fought out on the island. An abusive chieftain, weak church leadership and failing crops exposed all of the population to tests of their personal faith. Anne Brown, the beautiful young herbal healer would find herself pursued by the chief, betrayed by her friends and condemned by the church. Any c***k in her beliefs could make her a demonic target.
Everyone has their limits; a tipping point between good and evil at which their lives could go either way. Given the right amount of pain, the correct dose of suffering and a touch of isolation and even doing a deal with the devil might seem like a viable option.
