Social media is a goldmine for productivity tips, detailing countless life hacks to help you crush your to-do list and. It seems that our productivity levels have become increasingly entwined with our sense of self-worth and overall perception of success in life. It appears that the more productive we are, the better.
But productivity is not an aesthetic, and it's not a contest. We do not have to look our best while doing it all and effortlessly journaling our way throughout the day. It's easy to feel lacking when you think you're not making use of every waking moment.
In order to be a better person, you also have to be kinder to yourself and make sure that your goals are reasonable. As humans, we like to know work towards our dreams and goals as soon as possible. It gives us a feeling of security and purpose, but productivity will fluctuate, and sometimes giving yourself a break is the most productive thing you can do.
