The grass isn't your friend. It's great for staying concealed in the final circle or in extreme cqc maybe but not much else. By that, I mean that the grass visibility range isn't very high, which means that the game will remove faraway grass. Which, in turn, means that they can now see your snake ass conveniently proning in the distance. Tap tap you're dead. So take care to always hide behind walls, trees or rocks.
