For our final event of 2023, we are cultivating a free(!) night of house and garages goodness over at the beautiful ! 🌴🛖🌴

Of course we have a couple of special friends coming along to help sow the dancing seeds. First laying down the turf is an ex-Cardiff local, . She has been doing bits since moving on, regularly supporting big names in ldn and beyond! We’re gassed to have her back in our backyard.🌦

Following on from Elaine will be local gardener and greenhouse enthusiast … Expect to hear some unreleased MiNKY saplings🌱

Finally, after his exceptional release on MiNKY last month, will be displaying some fruity tunes on the dance floor… trust us when we say this guy has the cream of the crops when it comes to tunes selectionnnnns. 🧑‍🌾

Massive thank you to everyone who to lord through on Saturday, was another fun night filled with beautiful people!

Once again we apologise for the extremely late notice of the change of headliner, nothing much we could do about it but certainly put in a stellar performance! Will we be rescheduling Prozak to come over to Cardiff at some point after summer, so keep an eye out for that!

For those of you who brought general admission tickets, you will be contacted over the weekend regarding a partial refund - we think it’s only fair that you receive the difference in the prozak and Longeez ticket prices.

Alongside the main man, we will be seeing some hot up and coming talent down at Jacobs on Saturday.

MIDI CARTEL - a newly formed collective, these guys have been making slick movements in the scene… expect some high energy stuff from & ._o

ELECTRA - part of the brains behind HEADSPACE, is a natural behind the decks. She’ll be bringing us a set full of garage greatness

Groove System - this up and coming trio are certainly party ignitors… with infectious tunes and grooves to go with them, we’re happy to see them back in the basement


FRiSK - a usual suspect down at Jacobs- expect to hear some unreleased MiNKY goodness

Today, we welcome…
KITTY - we are very happy to welcome Freya back behind the decks for her second set at MiNKY. She has been making movements in Bristol, Cardiff and beyond, so expect to hear some bangers (and maybe a Christmas song or 2!)

Diddicoi - formerly under the alias Colloquial Blue, Jake will grace is with us with expertly selected garage and breaks to move us through to midnight

FRiSK - head honcho of MiNKY itself, expect to hear some unreleased forthcoming material!

DJ Bighead - a new face for MiNKY, mr massive head will be bringing some high energy jungle to the basement - we look forward to this one

Reality Checkpoint - born and bred in Cambridge, you’ve probably seen these boys slamming the tunes at multiple previous events. They’ll be spinning some sauce til the very end!

Just a couple of points from us before the grooving starts…

- There are limited tickets on the door, cash or card
- Bar is card only
- Toilets are gender neutral and to the right of the bar, down the corridor.

We’re back in the Welsh capital on the 11th November to bring UKG & bass lovers another banging party.

Following on from our last party in June, we welcome Sheffield based producer Oldboy down to Jacobs Basement!

With releases on EC2A, Over and Out and DA DEMOLITION SQUAD, Oldboy has made quite a name for himself in the underground scene with his range of productions. His arsenal ranges from grimey numbers with rich basslines to high class 2 step wobblers - expect to hear some unreleased numbers on the dance floor too!

We also welcome a Bristol based DJ down to the basement, Kitty. Over the past year, Kitty has been making quite a name for herself across the border, and we can’t wait to have her grace the decks with her unique and dynamic selections. Having played at many of the big venues in Bristol, she is no stranger to bringing energy to a room.

If you have been to our previous parties, you will be aware of MiNKY chief FRiSK fellow Cardiff promoters Breaks ’n’ Beyond, and we’re delighted to invite them back to the basement to get the party going.

BAKEY and Co.

For our next and best party to date, we invite one of the most prominent names in the UK underground scene down to Jacobs Basement - Bakey.

With releases on Time Is Now and Shall Not Fade, Bakey is certainly no stranger to getting a party into full flow - his tracks are rich with groove and pay respect to a wide range of genres which are sure to get anyone bouncing!

Bakey is joined by fellow Leeds man Granite. Hosting a slot on Subtle radio every month, Granite has acquired and arsenal of unheard bangers and UKG gems. We are sure these two good friends are going to tear up the basement…

We also welcome some old faces and newcomers to the MiNKY lineup:

- Jeeves b2b P-Rail: Bristol based Canapé Records resident Jeeves joins Binary boss P-Rail at the start of the night - expect plenty of groovers and unheard bliss from these two

- Skeng Daddy Bars: Previously under the alias ‘Biggsy’, Skeng Daddy Bars returns to the basement for his second MiNKY outing. Get to know this boy, plenty of talent here

- Cromie b2b FRiSK: 2 experienced MiNKY wax spinners come together for their first b2b in the basement - if you’ve been to our previous parties, you know what to expect…
