Sam Rubin was a friend. When blew up back in 2011, he contacted me out of the blue and asked pertinent questions about our show and truly was curious about the reality genre as it pertained to musical artists and their coaches. He visited The Voice several times and I visited him on the set of KTLA morning news several times. As I said, we were friends. We didn’t “hang out” or had close personal conversations. But we respected each other and truly liked one another. Sometimes in life you meet a good person…you just know they’re good folk. That was Sam. I pray for his family and close friends tonight. He will be missed by all our community….and by those of us who knew him simply as Sam. RIP friend.

I live in a balance of baseball fans. My Texas family are all Astros fans. My California family and friends are all Dodger fans. I’ll admit, I’ve been a season ticket holder of the Dodgers twice. (That’s when the Rangers were hopelessly awful). So, I apologize in advance to my Texas family, but this book just makes me sick to my stomach. Both the Yankees and the Dodgers lost key series because of cheating. In the ‘17 WS Kershaw threw 52 off speed pitches in game 5. The Astros swung at ONE. Because they knew what was coming. Not to mention the 11 various pitchers that lost their JOBS right after facing the Astros in Houston because they were shelled by knowing batters. I do believe the ‘22 championship was legit. PitchCom has leveled the playing field. My take is that the punishment did not fit the crime. Oh well….the TEXAS RANGERS are still World Champs!!!

Good morning. I want to take the time to stop all rumors and mean comments about our incident yesterday. The Hillbilly ran aground because of a failed mooring ball. A ball I’ve used several times. Thank God no one was on board. She’s already on the hard with seemingly no hull damage. She did not hit the rocks. I’m piecing together a video that I will release today or tomorrow. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. This had nothing to do with my steering issues or my abilities as a captain.
