Global warming is happening now and temperature keeps increasing. We have irrefutable proof that the last several decades have been the warmest in contemporary history, with global temperatures rising by 0.75°C during the last century. The pattern is apparent and undeniable. Hence, we must not overlook this pressing problem in our planet and must take the necessary actions to help combat global warming.

✔ Save energy at home
✔ Reduce emission
✔ Help in planting more trees
✔ Reduce, reuse, and recycle
✔ Seek for sustainable measures

The invasion of Ukraine by Russia broke various international laws and sanctions that had been in place to keep the peace between the two countries. In the wake of Ukraine's decision to join NATO, Vladimir Putin chose the more deadly path of war. This unforgiving conflict escalated to the point where Putin decided to use deadly force against civilians. The current situation has strained relations between the US and Russia, heightening the possibility of a larger European conflict. Tensions between Russia and adjacent NATO constituent nations are expected to escalate as a result of cooperative security commitments, with the U.S. likely to be involved. Since the start of the Ukrainian conflict, non-constructive Russian activities have hindered efforts to restore ties.

After the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in August 2021, tens of thousands of Afghans fled, often in severe ways. Many more people are still looking for a safe route to leave the country. Thousands of Afghans remain at risk due to their previous work or affiliation with coalition forces, Afghanistan's former government, international development efforts, the media, civil society, and other human rights organizations. Women and girls, as well as their families, are forced to flee the country, especially those who fear losing their employment or educational opportunities. At the moment, Pakistan hosts the largest number of Afghan refugees, with 1.4 million people. There are 780,000 Afghan refugees registered in Iran. Both Pakistan and Iran are reticent to accept more refugees at this moment.

To address the threats and systems of oppression that exist amongst groups that have been mistreated and discriminated against in society. Racist rhetoric, manipulation, and misconception of specific minority groups damage people in society. Black lives matter is a call to action and raise awareness on the issues that affect people in society. Moreover, the movement aspires to achieve equality and justice for those who have been and continue to be inspected by the dominating police apparatus and institutions, which label and stereotype people as criminals or deviants. The movement continued to play a key part in anti-police brutality and anti-racism protests.

The Philippines is notorious for having some of the world's most corrupt authorities. The Philippines had a 33/100 rating in the Corruption Perception Index in 2021, the lowest since 2012. According to the Global Cash Integrity, the Philippines lost P19.34 trillion in illicit financial flow between 1960 and 2011. The Philippine Government is as corrupt as any developing nation, which is to be expected in third-world or developing countries because the public expect their officials to provide for their necessities, a practice known as "patronage politics." Tax avoidance by the wealthy is directly responsible for most of the corruption, especially at the lowest levels. Employees of the government are paid pittances and must augment their income by extorting tiny sums from each transaction. People perceive this as a user's fee, and a culture of corruption develops. The further you go in society, the bigger the fee is, and corruption is rampant.

Globalization can impact poverty in a number of ways, the most important of which is economic growth. Studies have identified that when countries open up to commerce, they tend to grow faster and their living standards rise as a result. There is a common claim that the benefits of higher growth are passed on to the poor. It's been a little more difficult to track down exactly how the poor have benefited, especially when using aggregate data. One issue is that when trade or globalization occurs, many other factors, such as technology and macroeconomic conditions, change as well. Another issue is that there is often a lack of high-quality data on the poor's well-being. As a result, it's extremely difficult to determine the impact of globalization on poverty in a broader context.

Reality hasn't always been as bright as it seems. To begin with, the benefits of globalization are not evenly dispersed and tend to be concentrated in a few number of nations, particularly those that have grown to the point of being developed. The least developed countries in Africa, for example, have not been able to fully reap the benefits of globalization. Second, as part of the globalization process, the majority of efforts have been focused on promoting free trade flows, particularly in products that are important to developed countries. Workplace standards, the environment, sustainable development, and poverty reduction have all gotten lesser attention as a result of globalization.
