According to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, one in four girls and one in six boys will be s*xually abused before they turn 18 years old. R**e is the most under-reported crime; 63% of s*xual assaults are not reported to police, and only 12% of child s*xual abuse is reported to the authorities. R**e culture must end!! along with the code of silence.

Join us in this week’s episode as we speak on a very heavy topic, in which we discuss the code of silence. What needs to change and how we can become allies to those whom have been victims of any form s*xual assault.

In a previous episode, we discussed positive messages of affirmation we give our kids that impact who they become. Sometimes we aren’t so lucky to receive said messages, and are left on a journey through life searching for who we are. Knowing and showing who we are is a powerful tool, and it doesn’t matter at what age you get to the answer, although the sooner the better, what matters is getting to the answer. Once you know who you are, don’t shy away from showing everyone who you are and your capabilities. I encourage everyone to share in the comment section the deliciousness that they are.

Join us in this week's episode, as we discuss standing in the power of knowing and showing who we are.

Sometimes people send bad energy, this is something we have to pay attention to and catch quickly. We have to move away from people that send us bad energy, because this can disrupt who we are. Surround yourself with “yeah and” people not “yeah but” people. Know what your own capabilities are, and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.

Having allies in our life is super important. They can help keep us in track of our betterment, they can bring joy and happiness to our lives. However, there can be no better ally to us than ourselves. We need to want to do better for ourselves, we need to want to make ourselves happy, we need to trust ourselves to make beneficial judgments, and ultimately, we need to want to be overall better people.

Join us in this week’s episode as we discuss allyship, being your best ally, as well as decluttering the negativity out of our lives.

How many of us hoard things in our homes with the thought of “I’ll use it one day” or “but I’ve had it for so long” and then when we need something we can't find it because of the mess that is produced by the clutter? Sometimes it’s time to let go of things that are no longer beneficial to us, so that we don't have clutter blocking us from essentials that we need. Just like we need to declutter our lives and only keep the essentials that benefit our growth as people.

Join us in this week’s episode as we discuss allyship, being your best ally, as well as decluttering the negativity out of our lives.

It is safe to say that everyone agrees practicing self-care is important. My question to you is, if we are aware of its importance, why don’t we practice it? In this year’s Olympics we saw an amazing and inspiring example of someone practicing self-care. That Olympic athlete is none other than the GOAT herself Simone Biles. Simone showed us it’s okay to put things on hold to take care of your mental and emotional state. Even if this something is as big as representing your country in the Olympics, or something that you have worked and dedicated 4 years of your life for. Know you are worth more than that.

When we talk about self-care, this refers to mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. In today’s fast paced environment, we tend to neglect our self-care. For example, as long work hours tend to absorb most of our day, we often neglect our physical health. This means not exercising our bodies, and not providing the nutrition it needs from a balanced diet to be in peak form. It is vital to our health and sanity, to take time out of our busy schedule to practice self-care.

Join us on this week’s episode as we discuss self-care from a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual standpoint, why it is important and what are some ways we can practice self-care.

One reason that we tend to not put ourselves first, is because we have been taught from an early age that we should always put others first. This is an idea that has been passed down from generation to generation, growing up we have been told that putting ourselves before others is selfish. This is far from the truth. Just like we are instructed in a plane accident to put the mask on ourselves before we put the mask on others, we need to help ourselves first before we can help those around us.

Join us on this week’s episodes to hear the other two reasons of why we tend to not take care of ourselves, and why it is important becoming your best friend and ally, and what are some of the ways that you can do just that. ..

Creating a mindset in which people feel like they are not welcomed, or their ideas are not welcomed is one way a person can lose their confidence, their voice, their personality and just their selves all together. Imagine if the greatest artists, musicians, or even a person that makes a significant difference in your life was affected in this way. The world wouldn't be as bright and vibrant as it is today.

Join us as we discuss messages, how they affect us and how we can help and be supportive of an individuals dreams and identity. ..

Three mindsets we should consider to help set up our children up for success. 1. You are unconditionally welcome. This means creating a mindset that you are enjoying they are here. 2. Whether we notice it or not, the messages we receive heavily impact not only who we become as people, but how we view ourselves. With that said, the messages we give people around us impact them as well. Therefore, we should always plant seeds of positivity. Studies show that positive affirmations such as repeating "I am strong, I am confident" over time helps to transform your persepctions and your brain.

Join us on this week’s episode as we discuss the importance of messages received and messages given. How they affect out mental and emotional state, and what we can do to make a positive difference in the world.

Gratitude, thankfulness, or gratefulness, from the Latin word gratus "pleasing, thankful", is a feeling of appreciation felt by and/or similar positive response shown by the recipient of kindness. However, being grateful is more than just saying thanks once someone does a good deed for you. Being grateful is a state of mind in which you view life with positivity.

Join us as we discuss in this episode gratitude and how this mentality changes not your situation, but your outlook in life and the situations you are going through.

Often people get wisdom and knowledge confused, they believe they are the same. However this is far from the truth. Knowledge is temporary, knowledge is simply knowing. On the other hand, wisdom involves a healthy dose of perspective and the ability to make sound judgments about a subject. Anyone can become knowledgeable about a subject by reading, researching, and memorizing facts. It’s wisdom, however, that requires more understanding and the ability to determine which facts are relevant in certain situations.

Do you remember listening to a certain piece of advice that your grandparents or even parents gave you in your teenage years and thinking “what do they know, they don't know anything”. Now fast forward to today or at an age where you began to gather wisdom yourself and think about the same advice they gave you. I bet you they were right, I bet you that their advice could’ve saved you years of troubles and hardships. This is the importance of the wisdom of our ancestors, however it is up to us to want to receive that wisdom and not hear it, but listen and understand it.

In this episode, we will discuss the wisdom of our ancestors and the beauty of family. We will also discuss the four things that our ancestors provide for us when they are living in their purpose...

We can't use any privileges for our own betterment and the betterment of others until we analyze what privileges we enjoy.

So i would like to encourage everyone to think about privileges that you enjoy that you may not have recognized and comment them below on the comment section while you are listening to this week's episode. These can be anything from having the privilege that people give you the benefit of the doubt because you are a stand up person, the privilege to opportunities, education, financial security, any privilege you feel other don't enjoy as much or at all.

There is a misconception that privilege means your whole life has been easy, however privilege is gained different ways. Some are born into certain privileges, some have worked hard to obtain certain privileges, some happen to obtain their privilege through gardening a relationship with an individual who enjoys certain privileges. There is nothing wrong with enjoying certain privileges, the bad comes when you use them selfishly for your own personal gain, without using them to help gain equality and create opportunities for others.

Join us on this episode as we discuss these and other topics. https://www.thedelicioustruth.com/privilege-leveraging-your-advantages-for-the-highest-good

Privilege has been a controversial topic of discussion. People tend to get defensive when they are accused of enjoying privileges others cant. However, privilege can be used as a tool that can help those less fortunate than us. To do so, you must first acknowledge that you have a privilege based on your race, religion, gender, economic class etc. Then you must think of how you can use your privilege to help others around you.

Join us on this week's episode as we discuss privilege, how to accept it and what you can do to turn it into a tool for equality. https://www.thedelicioustruth.com/privilege-leveraging-your-advantages-for-the-highest-good..

How often do you find yourself thinking for too long when having to describe who you are? Or how many times do you find yourself giving job titles such as lawyer, photographer, etc when asked who you are? What if I told you that without knowing WHO YOU ARE, and relying on WHAT YOU DO puts you in a place where you while identify could be taken with a pink slip?

Join us on this episode as we discuss not only the importance of being able to distinguish between who we are and what we do, but the empowerment associated with knowing who you are as a person. ..
