No Youtube stream tonight on CavokSim! After starting a full re-install yesterday of Flight Sim and having a busy weekend with the kids before they go back to school tomorrow, unfortunately I'm not in a position where I'm happy enough about where the sim is currently to do a new stream. Hopefully I can get it sorted out tonight and be ready for an evening stream tomorrow night but I'm also back to work as well, so it may be tight? Keep an eye on this space...

I was looking forward to streaming a flight on CavokSim tonight once the kids were in bed, but as (bad) luck would have it my pc threw a major wobbly at me with the latest sim update and would not run the update or even load up. There's been a little bit of radio silence on my channel lately due to me being rather under the weather for the last few weeks and not not feeling up to my normal 100% best. The channel has literally taken off (excuse the pun!) in the last couple of weeks with the view count blitzing through the 10,000 mark and the subscriber count rising quite sharply too.

To say I'm over the moon is a little bit of an understatement! I have had an enormous reaction to the last live stream I did on my CavokSim channel over on YouTube so far getting 600+ views since last tuesday evening. Totally amazing!

Such a nice relaxed flight between Oslo and Tromso tonight on my CavokSim channel on YouTube. There was a nice amount of traffic departing Oslo on VATSIM and I managed to make a beautifully smooth landing at Tromso. The sim tonight looked amazing at sunset! And to top off the stream, the new flight tablet from PMDG worked really well too.

Tomorrow evening... it's to get back onto YouTube for another CavokSim live stream after a little time away from doing some proper sim flying. I'll be jumping into the PMDG 737-800 which I haven't flown properly in a while for a flight from Bordeaux to London Stansted. As usual, stream start time is 1930 (1830z). Hi guys. Well, that wasn't expected! My pc decided it didn't want to play for the whole stream and switched itself off. My guess is it must have overheated a bit? I do ask quite a bit of the pc when I stream but I apologise for it cutting short. I was really looking forward to the landing at Gibraltar. I have another stream planned for tomorrow evening so we'll see how that one goes. I guess that means I have an excuse to do Gibraltar again soon at some point! Once again, sorry for the abrupt end and hopefully will see you on the next one. Happy flying 😊

For the first time ever I made a booboo on VATSIM and didn't see or hear a ping to contact a controller whilst in the middle of the flight and got manually disconnected by the network supervisor. I only realised when I got an email just after and then saw the messages on the vpilot app which was running in the background. Other than that, it was nice to be able to do a round trip. The weather was fantastic and the ATR flew pretty well even with a couple of minor bugs (possible user error?) in the FMS on the set up for the second flight. Other than that, I enjoyed it. We'll be taking on the Mediterranean tonight in the ATR 72-600 flying for Air Corsica on a regular real world flight from Ajaccio on the island of Corsica up to the beautiful French city of Nice. In a slight change to tonight's scheduled stream and in lieu of the sim issue I experienced yesterday, I'm gonna to play it conservative today and run a short haul domestic flight between Birmingham and Guernsey. In a first for CavokSim it'll be in the 146-300 from Just Flight in the colours of Air UK. Hopefully any problems will keep away and I'm looking forward to seeing you on board. Pete

Hey guys. I'm afraid no stream tonight on CavokSim as I'm having constant CTD's trying to run Flight Simulator at the moment! I need to try and figure out what is broken and try to fix it and as long as I can do that fingers crossed I can do a stream tomorrow evening (either tonight's delayed or stick to the original schedule...I've not decided yet?)
