We regret to inform you that "The Moonstone" has not yet gone to print, as we had originally anticipated, due to the Christmas and New Year breaks and holidays. However, with everyone now back, we are in the final stages of confirming our arrangement with the printer. We expect to have a definitive production date in the next couple of weeks and will provide another update as soon as everything is confirmed. Although we are still aiming to commence shipping in Q1/24, these delays mean it will likely be towards the end of Q1, specifically by the end of March 2024.

Once again, we apologize for this delay and truly appreciate your patience in this matter.

To make up for the inconvenience, we are revealing one more illustration for "The Moonstone" – one of the twenty ink and watercolour images created by Oleg Pakhomov for this edition.

Shopify Shipping has recently lowered our shipping fees for select countries. This could be attributed to a decrease in fuel surcharges, changes in FX rates, or even a technical glitch. Regardless of the cause, this presents a great opportunity for you to save on shipping costs.

The moment has come to reveal our next book: "THE MOONSTONE" by Wilkie Collins.

A masterfully written work of mystery, romance, and deception, "The Moonstone" is often considered to be one of the earliest and most influential works in the detective fiction genre, which played a significant role in shaping the genre and establishing some of its key conventions.

Illustrated throughout with 20 colour illustrations and 9 black-and-white chapter heading illustrations, printed endpapers, and a decorated fabric cover, this book is going to be a real beauty.

It's expected to be printed by the end of this year, with shipping set to begin in the early months of 2024.

Last week, the historic Angel Inn in Midhurst was tragically destroyed by fire. This news is particularly heartbreaking for fans of H.G. Wells, as the inn played a significant role in his writing and personal life. Dating back to the 16th century, the Angel Inn is prominently featured in Wells's book 'The Wheels of Chance,' which we recently published. Although it's referred to as the 'Angel Hotel' in the book, it's unmistakably the same place, along with the 'Ye Olde Tea Shop' next door, where the protagonist Mr. Hoopdriver stays while pursuing his quarry - 'A Young Lady in Grey,' and her pretend brother Bechamel - who stay at the Angel itself.

Our book includes an illustration by Nikolai Fomin, in which Bechamel notices Hoopdriver while 'tightening his chain in the Angel yard.' The loss of this charming and historic inn is a real blow to those who appreciate the cultural and literary heritage of this part of England.
