Y’all!!! The fall season of the podcast starts in September and it is going to be 🔥I’m basically loosing my mind over how good it is. I also cannot believe that is next week!!! And a special treat for spooky season!!! There will be an episode a week!!! Even if it kills me!!! 👻👻👻 and even more exciting! Remember a few months back I was talking about an insane interview that I did and I couldn’t wait to share? That is how we are starting off (trigger warning on pregnancy, babies, small children on that one) and just for another sneak peek enjoy this snippet. I know a lot of you will recognize it pretty quick but I have been threatening to do this one for awhile now.
Hello, goblins and ghouls, and welcome to my Haunted Life podcast. I'm your host, Angela Hartshorn, and today, we're talking about something truly terrifying: Furbies. Frequent contributor and fellow adventurer, my buddy Rayne, joins us as we share personal Furby stories and discuss why these weird little robot creatures sometimes give us the creeps.
We also dive into Reddit stories, including one where a Furby starts talking without batteries and another where a Furby screams at 3 a.m. We'll even explore how Furbies are being used in ghost hunting.
So grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked, and the batteries are close by. It's time to delve into the world of creepy Furbies!
Also enjoy this absolutely unhinged CNN interview from October 1998 about furbies. It definitely fits the vibe today.

New podcase episode out now! Check out my trip to the Parq Central Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This beautiful hotel was once a hospital for railroad works and later become a psychiatric hospital for children and young adults. It was left abandoned for decades before becoming the Parq Central Hotel. Go to myhauntedlifepodcast.com to listen to the full episode. No podcast tomorrow :( I went down with a major head cold and sore throat this week and missed the recording time. Yay not Covid at least 🤷🏻♀️ I’m still vending at this weekend’s Oddities & Curiosities Expo in Albuquerque so come by and say hi! I even have a haunted hotel booked for the trip. Here’s a lovely shot of next week’s story!
The Witch's Castle in Portland, Oregon.
On this week’s episode I’m taking you ghost hunting at the infamous Witch’s House in Portland. I didn’t think I would actually find so much on the history on this one but I found a treasure trove. Most of the hauntings appear to revolve around one horrible murder, which I found newspaper stories recounting the tale in graphic detail. I have had so many of you ask me if I got to go to this place after the Top 10 Haunted Bathrooms episode and I finally did. I loved this place. I didn’t get much in the way of ghost hunting down with the storms and random people around but there’s a little bit. Also I think this video will be one of the longest ones on Youtube and Patreon because we just kept getting more and more footage of this place because it was just so pretty and surreal.
So let's get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked, and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

On this week’s episode, I’m going to tell you the history and hauntings of the Pittock Mansion in Portland, Oregon. I figured we needed a sweet story for Valentine’s Day. I also wanted a break from the darkness of the shanghai tunnels. I was lucky enough to visit the beautiful Pittock Mansion while we were out there with the Oddities and Curiosities Expo last year. I was not prepared for how gorgeous this place was. It is tucked up on this incredibly tall hill that just weaves through this extra green and dense rainforest. When you get to the top of the hill the house just emerges from these trees quite suddenly. The house itself is a beige gray with red roofs and from the back it looks like a fortress almost. If you go to the front of the house get roses and a view of Mt. Hood and the Portland skyline to die for. Oh and the interior! Well we will talk about that a little bit later.
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, maybe something with roses, make sure the doors are locked, and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

On this week’s episode we are going dark and discussing a heavy hitter in the paranormal community, the infamous Shanghai Tunnels of Portland. Trigger warning. It’s real dark. Name a bad thing and it will probably be mentioned today. Human trafficking, sexual assault, drugging, murder, cannibalism, racism. Yeah there’s a lot today. I discovered in my travels in the PWN that there are actually Shanghai Tunnels in Portland, Astoria, and Seattle. I thought this was fascinating! But the Portland ones are probably the most famous amongst paranormal enthusiasts because they have been seen on every ghost show basically ever. There is a lot of history to get through, don’t worry it’s very dark and gruesome. I was so upset when I didn’t get to go the first time I was in Portland so I made damn sure to go this time, and I’ll probably go again this year too! I even had a ghostly experience that I’ll tell you all about at the end.
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, maybe something with roses, we are in Portland afterall, make sure the doors are locked, and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.
