Big Baby

Permit me to share my view on this.
I feel disturbed whenever I hear married women calling their husbands 'big baby'. It's even more disturbing when wives who are believers join this trend.

Our words as believers carry power. Names make significant impact in the life of the bearer. No wonder God himself chose the name of some of his powerful human instruments in the bible. Matt 1:23b...and they shall call his name Emmanuel... God was careful in selecting a name for Jesus.

Gen 2:19b...and whatsoever Adam called every living creature,that was the name therefore. Whatever you call your husband,that will form his attitude and behavior thereof.

From hence, prophecy greatness into your spouse through the name you call him or her and you will see it manifest in no distant time in Jesus name.

Life without Jesus is the most horrible experience ever.

When saved from sin, as a saint you realized that every sinful experience was a nightmare.

Same nightmare that sinners, been deceived of that deceiver(the devil), refer to(sinful experience) as pleasure.

Until one is saved by grace, until one has Jesus Christ living in and through him/her, sinners rarely recognize the torture, torment and horror of sin.

Conviction vs Condemnation

1. Conviction is Specific; Condemnation is General

Rather than making blanket statements like “You are worthless,” the Holy Spirit highlights, “You spoke harshly to your spouse.” This specificity allows us to address and rectify our behaviors effectively.

2. Conviction Attacks the Issue; Condemnation Attacks Your Identity

One of the devil's techniques is a direct assault on our identity as Christians. As a Christian, your identity is not connected to your issue but to what God says about you.

The Holy Spirit's conviction deals with the issue that needs to be resolved.

3. Conviction is from the Holy Spirit; Condemnation is from the Devil

Conviction from the Holy Spirit nudges us to move towards Christ, while the devil's condemnation pushes us from God.

4. Conviction Gives You Hope; Condemnation Makes You Hopeless

God is better at saving you than you are at sinning. His blood is more powerful than all the sins all the world has ever committed. There’s hope always in Jesus.

5. Conviction Leads to Repentance; Condemnation Leads to Remorse

Condemnation makes you feel bad, so you try to do something about it, which only leaves you feeling worse because only Jesus can cleanse you of sin. The conviction of the Holy Spirit points us to the cross and exalts Jesus.
