Something old to hold and behold.
Growing up, Sundays were always spent at my grandma's house. I remember how much care went into preserving her old plates, pots and pans, the old armoire upstairs and the lawyers bookcase that stored mostly old editions of my grandfather's Popular Science . I remember an old cabinet that stored old toys and purses that belonged to her children and it remained locked but everything can be seen and admired through the glass that prevented them from getting dusty. This is why I savor my sentiments over old things, yes, vintage it is. Most of my vintage items were bought on impulse, over the feelings I get when I find something that reminds me of that childhood. I feel that whatever price I pay, it is well worth it. My nostalgia and sadness can very well be exaggerated but I think it is all because of how much she loved all of her grandchildren. It didn't matter if she favored one more than the other. It was enough that she made us all know how much we were loved . I know that it is important that I remember her and my growing up years with her even if it was only during the weekends and holidays.
If I were to live this life again, it will still be filled with old things and beautiful memories. To hold and behold.

If I were to carry another wristlet, it's gonna be this one.
I revamped this polycarbonate case by adding that thick blue acrylic chain to it. Classy, sporty casual. Easy to wipe clean. Dual zipper goes around. I changed the wristlet strap to a better one that it came with. This also came with a long cossbody strap but I would still prefer to carry it as a wristlet/clutch.
What do you think....

I have always been a big fan of vanity bags. Vanity bag, cosmetic bag , box bag, minaudier.. different styles, different names. There's something about the style that I love. It's probably that clean tailored look and the feeling of carrying a luggage-like handbag; so different, so chic. Some of the iconic ones come in luxury brands like Chanel , YSL, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Gucci. Chanel has one made of jute and raffia that comes with a steep price tag. I like the classic hard to find Louis Vuitton Cannes in Epi, round and roomy. I have been keeping an eye on a cute one by Valentino, but remain fickle minded about it. I like to hunt for bargains, and with that in mind, the second hand market becomes my venue. My hands are itching...but for now let me leave this here. A good read for a bagaholic like me.
