We will be down later this afternoon to do a live stream walk through of the venue.

Estimate time will be 4.30pm

Almost there and Saturday is Show Day at Newtownards and District Canine Club's 80th Anniversary Show

A big thank you to Ards Rugby Club for all their continued help and support especially as we mark the Club's 80th Anniversary.

Just a reminder that the main part of the Club House is not open to exhibitors or the general public but the Club's Bar will be open for those who might like their wins or just fancy a wee tipple 🍾🥂🍻

Today is your last chance to enter for our show on Saturday.
We have left entries open for as long as we can to help you but they will close tonight at midnight.
Thank you to everyone who has already entered, your support has been amazing.
As we are sure you are all interested to know the final details, we will finalise everything and update the statistics and ring plan as soon as we can.
As a new committee we have tried our best to ensure you have a super show and we look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.

Entries still open until this Friday folks!! This will be the FINAL closing date 🐾

Presiding over group 1 for us this year will be a very familiar face to the group; Mr Alan Matthews.

“I started showing in 1980 in the ranks of junior handing with my Pembroke corgis and since then I have became heavily involved in all aspects of showing, breeding and judging dogs. In addition to Corgis, our family have been strongly involved with terriers and I have bred champion Kerry Blue, Smooth Fox and Cairn Terriers under the Craigycor Affix and my wife Sarah is very successful with her Lhasa Apsos. We have also made up a homebred Australian Shepherd champion and a Dandie Dinmont. I have bred a winner of the American National Specialty as well as winning Best of Breed at Crufts twice with my corgis.

I enjoy judging and I am a FCI Championship Show judge for Groups 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 as well as Best in Show. I award CC’s in Pembroke and Cardigan Corgis and have recently been passed to award CC’s in Old English Sheepdogs.

I have judged in the UK, Ireland, USA, Australia, Russia, France, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and the Czech Republic.

I am honoured to be judging Monkstown show - I look forward to seeing you all.”
