2004 had been seminal for Jisatsuken, materializing releases from Mloski, Rэs, Skylined and a sophomore CD release - the critically acclaimed "Kokaku #2".
As we were nearing the end of the year, we decided to return a small “thankyou” to the friends and fans who had been supportive and open-hearted to our endeavours during these months. In great secrecy and publicly emitting no whisper whatsoever, we kindly asked the artists involved the previous Jisatsuken releases to submit tracks that zero ears have had the chance to have been previously exposed to.
So in the morning of Christmas day, just hours after Skylined’s release, one of the netlabel's founders - Nisho - suprised Jisatsuken's fans with a 58-minute DJ mix containing exclusive previously unreleased tracks from various artists – both Jisatsuken natives and visiting guests.
This release is notable with the fact that along with the likes of Polygon Ring, KiNK, Cooh, Shamanez and Mloski, a rather unexpected feature blessed the very intro track – a 4-year boy named Borko Kolev, who is responsible for the beautiful bell melody line of “Batko Mi Mi Obeshta”. Another interesting moment in the Christmas Mix was the debut mutual effort of Mloski and Rэs – “Mebae” – a track apparently inspired by old samurai movies that introduced a distinguishable sound that would become signature for the duo in the following years.
